Not in flood zone, 6.5 miles from the coast. Biggest problem for us is being on the east side of the storm. We have already had one tornado warning that ended at 1415 local. We will probably be dodging those most of the night.

Thankfully Nate is a fast mover and should be well inland by 0700 in the morning. Currently appears that Biloxi, MS will catch the eye. Hopefully there will be considerably less personal and property loss than in Harvey and Irma.

Windy with a chance of major damage?

Hopefully you made it without concern. We're getting some wind gusts and rain now as it heads upstate.

Made it through with little more than inconvenience and no sleep. Initial walk around of the house indicates no damage. Had four tornado warnings issued for our location with all coming before midnight. Will say that the wind kept my attention throughout the night.

Just thankful that it was only a Cat 1, tightly compacted and a fast mover. Some of the talking heads are predicting that Nate will be in upstate New York by tomorrow afternoon. Do know that the Sip coast had a 11’ storm surge and Mobile Bay was predicted to have up to a 9’ surge. Don’t know if Mobile Bay made the prediction but most of down town Mobile is still flooded and the causeway across the bay is still under water.

Smoke, hopefully Nate will track to the east of B’ham and you will avoid the nasty side of the storm. Be safe and keep an eye on the weather this morning.
