I can get it, but it will fetch market price.

You have to understand how stores get this stuff. They spend thousands of dollars on lame products to get their allocation.

This is their way to get some of their money back.

Yeah, the distribution for pappy is insane. Go for it if you can get in on it but see if you can get some small batch productions. A lot of liquor stores in my area are buying whole barrels and boutique barrels from distilleries and they're coming out with some fine and rare whisky in their own right.

I always wanted to try my hand at running the still.

I still remember when maker's used to be a rail bottle; then they rebranded the same exact recipe and did a hyper martketing campaign and now it's $30-$40 a bottle. Same with Weller; twelve or fifteen years ago no one cared about it but damn if me and Paul weren't slamming it down. Those were good times in his trailer.

Weller 12 is my favorite wheated bourbon.I've had Rip and the 12 and 15 PVW's(it may have been the 15 and 18,I've drank since then)......IMHO Weller 12 is just as good if not better.Sadly hard to find nowadays.

If you can't find the Pappy or Weller look for a bottle of George Dickel Hand Selected Barrel.I'd put the Dickel up against all comers.Best Tennessee whisky I have ever had.

I actual had a member of Cbid ^^^^ GIVE me a bottle of the 20 year old ^^^^ when he was able to get one on allocation. =d>

That was a couple of years ago and I have about half of it left.

I’d look for Wild Turkey Decades.
Should retail around $150.

Blend of 10 and 20 year old bourbon.

Voted 3rd best whiskey in 2017.

I was gifted a bottle and it’s fantastic!!!

I agree, the weller 12 is great and used to be cheap. now it's hard to find n always over priced. but there are lots of new things coming out so just gotta keep looking

On another note, I just picked up a bottle of Kirkland 18 year single malt (speyside) from Costco for $60...

I know it's no legendary Pappy or anything, but just throwing it out there.
