We always do home made raviolis for Christmas. I don't remember a Christmas where that's not what I ate.

I was craving Chinese.

2 places closest to me were closed. Drove down the road to another I haven't had in 10 years. Closed.

Called the Thai restaurant, no answer.

Think China Buffet was probably open, but only because health inspectors don't work on Sunday.

I have a 25 lb butterball and a 15 lb ham on the smoker. Good old Mesquite wood for about 12 hours.

Yesterday, Chicken noodle soup with the thin noodles, broccoli/cauliflower salad, chicken salad.

Today, Tamales, eggs, bacon, pan sausage, fig preserves. My brother mucked it all up because he'll be at the Texans game. A little too much wind out on the prairie to start a fire for barbecue anyway.

BRUNCH this morning at our house with my daughter and son-in-law:
Paula Dean's "Pecan and Praline French Toast" . . . a family tradition for the last 15 or so years.

DINNER tonight at my daughter's house.
I will be cooking as my daughter will be enjoying time with our new granddaughter who was just discharged from the hospital after a three day stay in the NICU.

Smoking the prime rib roast worked out well though it was closer to medium than medium rare. Will pull it off a little sooner next time. About 3.5 hours to smoke to °135.

For St. Stephen's day I am sitting here at a startbucks because NTB is fixing the caliper and brakes I'm too lazy to do myself. I've only walked into these places once or twice. I've always supported the Greek Orthodox coffee shop a few miles down. Everyone in this place reminds me of Victor but twice as liberal and twice as gay.

My breakfast consisted of a straight black iced coffee and what I thought was at first a bacon egg and cheese buscuit but was really some ultra liberal croissant. Yum...

It's a shame dairy queen isn't open.

Rainbows, "YES WE CAN" stickers, and "impeach trump" bumper stickers.

I'm pretty sure the stones would fly if they found out I was religious.
