Well I got a new job and my wife and I are moving to Chicago. If anyone has any places I need to go for cigars or to eat or see let me know. I’d be happy to receive suggestions.

I am right downtown in the Loop. I moved from NE Kansas, sold a house on 10 acres and now have a 900 sq ft condo. There are buildings here with more people than my whole town so it’s a new world for me.

Holy cow. Talk about cultrure shock. Hope you enjoy it, man. I've never been, but it has always seemed like a good city with a great history to me.

I've never been, but a friend said there are a LOT of good restaurants there.

If you ever want to talk in depth about the city and its surroundings you can come over and smoke with me. I live 1 hour from the loop. I was born and raised on the southside. I spent 36 years in the city and was a floor broker at the Chicago Mercantile exchange for 15 of those years. I have information you can use to say the least. PM me anytime.

Cigars/lounges--- Iwan Ries & Co. 19 S. Wabash Avenue . Get out of town proper to Countryside and go to Casa De Montecristo.

Food, take your pick and you'll probably find it offered in downtown or very close nearby. It's a gastronomical smorgasbord of culinary treats. Be safe.

Can't help you much with downtown. Even when I lived in Chicago I avoided that area, stayed southside/suburbs

Phils pizza on 35th st. Ricobenes Italian breaded steak on 26th st. That is the Bridgeport hood. Wear a White Sox hat. You'll fit right in. But.......You're not in Kansas anymore Toto.

I got a suggestion for you.

Don't move there. Downstate Illinois Boy born and bred. Got out of that armpit of a state 10 years ago. The only thing worse than Illinois as a whole is Chicago.

I love deep Southern Illinois where I grew up but the ridiculous politics of Chicago from ALL sides have ruined it
