If you're worried about it, just throw them in the freezer for a few days at 0deg F or less.

That'll kill anything living in there.

I used to be a habitual freezer, I've been slacking lately... I do a visual inspection though if I don't plan on freezing.

You can tap the cigars with the foot aiming down and if small brown flakes come out (almost looks like dirt), a beetle went to town on that cigar (small brown flakes are bug sh*t).

I keep in the celo when they are new. I might start off by being a "habitual" freezer, just to be safe. It definitely helps.

I can already see I'm going to need a new humidor.

I haven't frozen cigars in a few years. No problems - so unless I pick up something new from an unknown source I'm over freezing. I do put all new arrivals in certain storage containers just in case. Forget the humidor and go coolidor or tubador. I have one tubador that hasn;t been watered in years because it gets opened about once a month and has beads. Humidors usually need a watering monthly or more often.

Takes a while to become a noob...

Bovedas and beads are a good combo to use in a traditional wood humidor, as long as it has a decent seal.

I started with a Boveda 72% and my Humidor was at 62% so I put two 75% packs in it and it went to 64%. So I re-seasoned it and it was holding 72% till I put my cigars back. and it went to 68% (I was good with that). But today it looks like its dipping again.

I'm gonna leave it a bit and see how it looks tomorrow. I might be impatient.

Feel like I'm going to be a noop for awhile lol.

I'll look into the beads. Thanks King of the Cove.
