Greedy B&M business, that hate online competition, talked states into making business in other states implement their theft scheme called sales tax. Now we need to have B&M business do the same thing when a customer is from another state, just to fair. šŸ™„ 🐓

Shana, how does this work on Cbid's end? I thought you had to have Nexus in a state before they could mandate sales tax from the purchase.

Supreme court ruling over the summer axed the old rules. States can now require out of state retailers to collect tax for the purchasers state.

Ah, the playing field has now become leveled. I live in PA and always have paid the 6% sales tax so I am use to it. You all will also get use to it. If it upsets you, please do not bid here and I will buy more at better prices. My bids amounts always include allowance of $1.00 added for shipping and $1.00 added for PA tax. So if I bid $5.00 for a 5 pack I consider the final cost to be $7.00. I see many deals in my future. Thanks Cbid.

On June 21, 2018, the Supreme Court of the United States overturned prior law which made it unlawful for states to require online sellers to collect sales tax unless they had a substantial ā€œphysical presenceā€ or connection to the state. In the wake of the Court’s ruling in South Dakota v. Wayfair, many state governments have enacted changes to their tax codes to require out-of-state online sellers to collect and remit taxes on all retail sales made to customers residing in those states. Please note, this ruling impacted all online retail sales, and did not specifically target cigars or tobacco product. You can read the full text of the South Dakota v. Wayfair decision below. At present, sixteen states require online sellers to collect and remit taxes. More states’ laws will go into effect in the coming months. We are currently working closely with members of the US Congress to repeal or revise these laws.

Drafter's kidding Ewok....

Kavanaugh woulda pushed Kennedy aside so he could write the majority opinion for the cons on the court....I heard legal analysts say this decision over-turned more than 50 years of legal precedence...the little guy (small business owner and individual consumer) is gonna get squashed even more as cons fill the bench...

Umhum when I read what drafter wrote I was in the middle of drinking my Dr Pepper. I started laughing and got strangled, Dr Pepper shooting out the nose holes hurts. I swear, I am going to have to start drinking water or tea when I come in to read and figure out how to liquid proof my keyboard.

I am surprised the keyboard still works due to the many times these goobers have made me drown the dang thing. Wait hang on a minute....... Ahh that was a booger mixed with Dr Pepper on the H key.
