hmmmm....honest question, by one who is not particularly religious...why do many religious people pray at night...

the standard prayer image is of the person kneeling before the bed, praying before going to sleep...

Personally, I stop and take the time throughout both day and night but that is just me. I really prefer at night but that is only because I can stay more focused in humbling myself since during that time my world is quieter. I know a lot may find it strange but, I kind of view it like trying to talk to someone while playing with your phone vs giving full attention and respect while trying to have a very serious conversation. For me it is a very personal time. Just my 0.02
