Ahmad Aubrey,

A name we should know. He has barely received a mention here. All I want to say.

this was a reference to it, a post by Xibbumbero in the Stay Classy San Diego thread, that described a guy in San Diego wearing a KKK style hood as a mask...

Or you could be black, jogging in Georgia and get blasted with a shotgun.
Think about that. 🤔

I'm voting death penalty based on stupidity. I know that's not normally a capital crime, but exceptions can be made in these times

Also, immediate firing and possible flogging for the DA if there's any truth to her giving a no arrest order due to friendship with the suspects

the elder suspect is a former investigator for the D.A.s office

The thin BLUE LINE is coming into play....

Along with the southern good ole boy network...
Civil rights laws mean nothing in the south if you know powerful people and belong to the correct circles...

Been that way since the civil war....
Now...when the feds show up and rock the boat due to national outrage....then the good old boy network can break down...

Sorta like what is going on now...they don't want the national coverage...they want this to go away.

I used to get all the info from them...nothing has changed
Except the 24 hour news channels That expose the underbelly if the SOUTH ...and they hate it.

I haven't seen all the facts of the case, but in any event... these two guys are not cops and have no powers of arrest or detention and had no business doing what they did.

They killed an unarmed man. Go directly to jail, do not pass go, do not collect $200.

Point well taken. I shall qualify what I said... if what is out there right now is true, and they took matters into their own hands, they are wrong and should go to prison.

I suspect the defense for the suspects will be like what happened in the Trayvon Martin case...cast the victim as the bad guy...in retrospect Zimmerman's life choices after his acquittal at trial showed he wasn't anything close to the hero he was painted as: an innocent who was defending himself against a life-threatening assault by a dope smoking thug.

Arbery will be portrayed as a criminal, having past encounters with the law, and who matches the description of a person suspected of committing recent burglaries in the area...the fact that Arbery went through a house under construction and was running away just moments before he was shot and killed will be mentioned alongside the recent burglary reports... the defense will be Arbery deserved to be killed

Look at the information presented in the letter from Waycross DA George Barnhill to the Glynn County PD. He'd already recused himself due to a conflict, but nevertheless wrote "there is "insufficient probable cause to issue arrest warrants at this time." (I'm not sure why a conflicted prosecutor is offering an opinion, but that's a question for another day.) He's clearly trying to protect the suspects, which to me indicates any statements against their interests are reliable, yet the fact pattern he sets forth is damning. It's telling when the guy trying to save your azz ends up providing enough rope...
