Actually you said this...Obama was president for 8 years (2009-2017) so you did know who the POTUS was and was hoping for it to happen when he was in the driver's seat.It's OK if you want it to be a political appointment. I'd rather that judges not be but since they are appointed by a politician and politicians these days appear to be incapable of being impartial we can only hope that the approval process can help balance that.
Was just pointing out that in my non-virtual life I had hoped she retired several years ago. Not suddenly now before the body is cold.
Many thought that was going to happen. Myself included. If those were her wishes and that's what she really wanted she should've retired. Especially when she was ill in health to begin with.
