Either way, it is an issue for all Americans. Not good. Hope he doesn't have it. However if he does, Pence might need to be sworn in. But, maybe Pence has been exposed or has it as well and has to to quarintine too. Think they'd let Pelosi run the show for a week or so? Not good any way you look at it.

They’d have to take him kicking and screaming off of the stage.

Because of his Twitter addiction, the whole country will know by the hour how sick he is. Unless they can get an over caffeinated 8th grader with AD&D to cover for him.

President Trump Tested Positive for Coronavirus. Now What?
WSJ
President Trump, First Lady Test Positive for Coronavirus...

Has Joe Biden been infected too?
It couldn’t be determined. Mr. Biden’s team didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment. Ms. Hicks, Mr. Trump’s adviser, traveled with the president to Cleveland for Tuesday night’s debate with Democrat Joe Biden, then began showing minor symptoms and was quarantined on a flight back from another stop in Minnesota on Wednesday, a person familiar with the matter said. She tested positive Thursday. The two men stood several feet apart during their debate Tuesday and didn’t shake hands before or after the event.

Will the Oct. 15 debate be canceled?
The president’s contraction of a virus that has infected nearly 7.3 million people in the U.S. means he will need to cancel in-person events in the coming weeks, possibly including the next debate against Mr. Biden on Oct. 15 in Miami. Shortly after the president said he had tested positive, the White House issued an updated schedule for Friday, which consisted only of “a phone call on Covid-19 support to vulnerable seniors.” He had previously been scheduled to attend an indoor fundraiser at his hotel in Washington and a campaign rally in Florida.

Dr. Conley said he expected the president to “continue carrying out his duties without disruption while recovering.”

What happens if the president is incapacitated?
If the president’s condition were to worsen, he could temporarily transfer power to Vice President Mike Pence under Section 3 of the 25th amendment.

Has a president handed power to a vice president before?
Yes. In 1985, President Ronald Reagan had a colonoscopy. Vice President H.W. Bush was then acting president for nearly eight hours, until Reagan signed a letter declaring himself able to resume his duties.

Similarly, President George W. Bush invoked Section 3 to temporarily transfer his powers to Vice President ****** Cheney in 2002 ahead of a colonoscopy. He did the same again in 2007.

What if Mr. Trump is incapacitated without handing power to the vice president?
Article 25 contains a provision in Section 4 empowering the vice president and a majority of Cabinet officials or “such other body as Congress may by law provide” to inform Congress that the president is unable to carry out his duties. This allows the vice president to take over as acting president. The president then resumes his duties after informing Congress that he is able to do so, unless Cabinet officials or another body declares otherwise. Congress would then gather within 48 hours to decide the matter. If two-thirds of the House of Representatives and the Senate each vote that the president is unable to discharge his duties, then the vice president remains acting president until the next scheduled presidential election.

Has that happened before?
No.

What If Mike Pence Gets Sick?
If the acting president becomes incapacitated, then the presidential line of succession means the powers and duties of the presidency pass to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rep. Nancy Pelosi, then to the president pro tempore of the Senate, Sen. Chuck Grassley, and then to eligible Cabinet secretaries....

If it doesn't kill him it's going to make him even more irresponsible about it.

He already downplayed it to the point where people think it's a "hoax".

My pool guy and I had a conversation about it, he asked me if I thought it was a hoax. I said a hoax? well, it kills people, so I'm going to have to say no, it's not a hoax.

Then he's like, it's not as dangerous than they thought, and asked me how dangerous I thought it was...

I said... if I had to guess, I said it's probably about as dangerous as the flu without a flu shot...

People have a hard time with numbers (it's painfully obvious).

Now trump's going to be downplaying it... and it's just going to give ammo to his base... which clearly don't care about old and fat people (though most of them seem to be old and fat, they just don't see themselves that way).

How is COVID-19 worse than the flu?

What makes COVID-19 so much more dangerous than the flu is that there’s no vaccine and no natural immunity in the world, meaning everybody is susceptible. A flu vaccine is available and effective to prevent some of the most dangerous types of the virus or to reduce the flu’s severity.

Antiviral medications can address flu symptoms and sometimes shorten the duration of the illness.

Unlike the flu, there are no proven antiviral treatments for COVID-19.

In addition, COVID-19 appears to be about 10 times as deadly as the flu. People who contract coronavirus face a far greater risk of death than those who get the flu, according to the World Health Organization. WHO also says that COVID-19 is 10 times deadlier than the H1N1 swine flu strain.

The death rate for flu—usually about 0.1%—is thought to be many times lower than for the coronavirus. The current best estimate for the coronavirus is 1%.

And, because nobody has natural immunity, the number of individuals who could be infected and may have a fatal case of COVID-19 is everybody in the world vs. a subset of individuals in the case of influenza.

You realize that nobody thinks the virus itself is the hoax, don't you?

The supposed hoax is the severity and the resultant pandemic status.

I don't consider it a hoax, but it is blown out of proportion.
If not for the Northeast states treating assisted care facilities as safe havens for the sick, we wouldn't be anywhere near the numbers nor the fear levels.

Let me be clear.
This is the only Pandemic in the history of mankind where the vast majority require a test to realize they have the virus.

The deaths are truly not the primary danger even though we have seen how deadly it is. The side effects are the primary danger. Unfortunately all of the present information is anecdotal. It appears somewhere between 25% to 75% of the people infected develop autoimmune issues. Now each and everyone of those people are in additional high risk categories. They are presently called covid long haulers. This is caused by a Cytokine storm in the blood causing a Bradykinkin storm in the blood. The damage appears to be long term, but that is only anecdotal at this point in time. Do the math, the perentage of people in the high risk groups is being increased by the virus itself.
