countless people unemployed, no jobs, terrible economy..... but people can afford brand new pickup trucks? (Scratching my head). I make pretty decent money (imo), and I’ve never been close to being able to afford a brand new truck....

By the time Fracking Joe Biden is done, you won't be able to afford the gas either.

My 2004 Superduty Is doing just fine. I don't put a lot of miles on it and the 6.0 was replaced with a 7.3 so it should run forever. It's amazing the money people spend on vehicles I guess if you've got it to spend and you appreciate that new car smell that much......

Don't feel bad, I've never owned a new truck either.

I'm ok with that.

I try to buy cars about 2 yrs old with less than 30,000.... normally about half the sticker price.... 😟

I've always bought new new cars, about every 10 years or so...but I 'm coming around to the idea of buying a used one this time...

maybe two or three years old with less than 30K miles...could be my last one, since I'm well past a spring chicken....a summer and fall chicken, too...

Right now in many cases you are better off buying new rather than a couple years old if you do the math.

Yeah, I'm kinda feeling that way too.

Bought my car new, but I still love it, so I'll have it for a while.

Well looking into it, guess I could afford a new truck if I didn’t have so much chit, but a truck payment that would be more than my house payment should be hard to swallow (insert joke here)

Seriously looking at ordering a wrangler from the factory. First time I may get exactly what I want. Won't buy for anything less than 6-7% under invoice. MSRP or sticker means nothing.

I kind of want one of the new Broncos, but really impractical for my needs. I could buy 25 used pick ups for what a new bronco would cost. Damn I’m starting to sound like my dad chit....

LOL

What I have is perfect for my needs and I could probably get 150 or 200 thousand more miles out of it. The wrangler is far less practical and doesn't fit my needs as well but is more fun and I want it LOL. I never get the want car, I get the need car. Imma gonna get what I want.

Thought about the bronco but it will be awhile before practically available and obtainable at "reasonable cost" and I havent decided if I like the looks yet.

Prediction...... wranglers will still be in production after ford kills broncos again..... and I want a white wrangler.... a white bronco would be weird unless in a slow paced police chase

Prolly owned 35-40 cars, trucks and SUVs but have only bought new once. Jeep Grand Cherokee. Had to replace the tranny at 65K miles. I buy the wifey new cars but I have had good luck with 1-2 year old 10-15K hand me downs.

Wife keeps telling me to get a Jeep W 4 door but I don't do rock crawling anymore and very seldom need a 4 wheeler.

Me neither but I want it LOL

And I do have some trips planned through Colorado and Utah etc. I may even drive it to Alaska.

But yea I have no illusion of it being a honda or toyota

Wicked smaht...

I've owned a lot of new cars and trucks. They're no better than used ones... just newer.

My wife is driving a certified pre-owned (used) Mercedes Benz C300 Sport. Saved about 20k off the sticker price buying a lease turn-in... and it has a 5 year from date of manufacture unlimited mileage warranty. Covers most everything.

My truck's seats both fold up in the back. Tank has room to sprawl, but he doesn't seem to be a fan of the truck, right now. I think I need to get good seat covers and let him sit on the seats and hang his head out the window...
