They won't beat you unless you go to a place the cameras can't see well.

I had the two rounds of shots from Pfizer.

First dose, intense soreness at injection site. Woke me up from my sleep. Lasted about a day.

Second dose I had the full immune system response, which was reassuring that it works. Fever, aches, etc. Nyquil and 14 hours of sleep cleared it all up. Felt like I got a taste of the real deal for a day. Glad it was only a sample.

I'm excited to grow my beard back. 10 years of beard I had to shave to fit respirators at work. I don't like having a naked face.

Work made the list for employees getting the next round (super important essential worker, world would crumble without me)

Work will pay for it.

I'll pass

I think my answer based on todays meeting is yes and as I said before it's a no brainer in my mind, but I do want to talk to my cardiologist and oncologist first. Just cause. I don't really know it it moves me up the list or removes me from it. I suspect the former.

Yup. Even more certain today after sitting in on a meeting with Dr. Drew Weissman. He is best known for his development of the mRNA technology used in the current vaccines. After listening to him it's a no brainer.

This is just it. This isn't entirely new. Just older research applied to a new issue that fit. The vaccines were developed for the last round of SARS but funding dried up so they stopped. Funding restarted for SARS-COV-2 and the data was applicable so the research continued where they left off.

I'll take it...almost had a chance last week, when our county announced it was including 65+ year olds in the group getting vaccines...tried getting an appointment, but all the locations were booked...

now the county says it is out of vaccines, and doesn't know when it'll get more...

First priority at work here was the suits. Admins and board members got theirs before bedside staff. Pro tip: get stupid rich and buy yourself a seat on the board of a non profit. You'll get paid a ****load of untaxed money and get priority for pandemic vaccinations.

dan I learned so much about the vax today. fascinating stuff. Way different and better than flu crap. The doc dogged on flu shots twice as being terrible vax.

I wanted to punch faces when I hit the post-shot waiting area on round one. It was at least half suits. The azzwholes who make us reuse face masks for a month. My N95 I wear going into covid rooms is from August. We have no more. But they're sitting in the waiting room wearing them, and got their shots.

Flu shots are just a shot in the dark. I get em, but they're free, and mandatory....

This one, we know what we're dealing with. The research was mostly done already, just had to make some modifications. Can't be mandatory yet because it's not fully FDA approved.

I read the entire report submitted by Pfizer and the science was sound. It's not new, just modified.
