Good choice! I am honored. We are having that with the trout tonight, or 2000 DRC Leroy Montrachet.

haven't used the grill yet.
but we have had rainbow trout fillets with asparagus in the oven about once a week for a while recently.
Parchment paper on the pan, olive oil, s & p, minced garlic on everything
a few lemon slices on the fish, squeeze the rest over everything
400 for 15 minutes.
too easy to be real.

AND, you get a reminder when you pee later!

Local Wally World had a bunch of the meat and dairy coolers on the main floor go down so most of that had to be taken off the floor and put in the walk-in coolers in back.

Two large compressors that cool that segment of coolers have a habit of failing during the summer months. The compressors that chill this area of floor coolers are on the roof. We've had rolling thunderstorms and rainy days on and off the past week(?) so the HVAC contractor didn't want to go on the roof to fix them during poor weather (pu$$y).

They got up and running yesterday so all the meat that was sitting in the walk-in coolers went back onto the sales floor. Since the goods were in hibernation for a few days and not available for purchase, once they made it to the floor they were coming close to the "sell by" date. Meanwhile, more meat kept coming in so they had put the hibernation meat on the floor first with 30% off for quick sale.

I crammed up my home freezer with racks of ribs, burger, chicken breast and thighs, steaks, roasts, pork chops, sausages... Lugged home about 30 lbs of various cuts at 30% off last night. They still had more today that I wanted to buy but my freezer is jam packed.

Good thing there are no vegans or vegetarians in the house 'cause we ain't gonna run out of meat for at least a month.

Ostrich for lunch today. Sauteed mushrooms, onions, and ginger. Zucchini and summer squash kabobs. Sauteed spinach and kale.

Last night I had a pork loin with bacon and pan sauce, with fresh corn and curry rice. For dessert I had frozen black grapes with agave syrup and oat milk.

^ Sounds mighty good, what was the pan sauce?

Just used the pan drippings, white wine and a tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce reduced.
