Yes, hysteria gets clicks. If there was more straightforward and honest media- instead of the current state of either brought to you by the Left and Right, fear would be less pervasive.

Personally, I'm reluctantly vaxed. Just like my political views, they don't fit in the Right or Left sides.
I both think we shouldn't be compelled to put government mandated toxins in our systems, no am I an anti-vaxer.

Wife and I decided for us, better to take the medicine and hopefully enjoy or suffer the same results.

Doc, there have been no hard numbers yet. Not surprising now, but in a few more weeks it will be. Supposedly there are far more cases in the unvaccinated than the vaccinated. Not I say supposedly. It looks like 75% of new infections are Omicron. I want to see raw unmanipulated data on the severity of Omicron. I really do not want to hear the fear mongering that is starting up that we may need a 4th shot soon. Let's see if Omicron is as mild as it seems to be first. Protecting us from Omicron may end up being a poor decision. I want to see the math and the science before even beginning to consider if a 4th shot holds any benifit for multiple reasons.

If Omicron is dominant, and if Omicron is no more virilant than flu, then I question the need for additional vaccination other than for those at high risk. And that of course is an individuals choice.

Here is what I am really eager to see the progress of: "How do those in power begin to relinquish the control they have held during Covid?"

Frankly, I am glad we are at a point in this where this is even a thought, as it likely means that we have truly rounded the corner, but it's been a concern of mine for some time.

What happens after COVID will be very telling regarding what your government (school/local, state, fed) thinks of you.

I look to a lot of the government's reactions to 9-11 and still see many of those policies in place. Some were good, some not so much. Once a government ball gets rolling, it seems awfully hard to ever stop it.

Stogie, I hope there is an annual flu/covid shot available and the decision is a personal one based on your assessment of risk to you. I think this may not be the case which would be shameful.

I do not see the state of emergency being lifted in California.
I do not see the indoor mask mandate being lifted in the Bay Area.
I do not see the Covid passport mandate being lifted in my county.

Our permanent departure date from California is now being moved up.
