Oliva Connecticut is good too. I personally like everything they roll. I have about all of thier offerings. From bundle sticks to master blends

Mind dropping some more interesting Connecticuts or mild bodied non-connecticuts that are good?

I’m still trying to refine my cigar tastes, but 90% of my favorites have been Dominican Connecticuts.

I confess that a lot of the stuff mentioned here I’ve never heard of! I’m 57 and smoking for 20 years at least but I’m going to try some of these for sure!

Haha I got 3 of them that are really old. My ex wife wanted to try a cigar one night while we were drinking. I had just started one of them. Needless to say she was throwing up right after her turn. That was the last one I had and did not finish it. I was a noob then. Still smoking malboro reds. Probably could handle them now.

I dig the punisher. Funny my good friends don’t have cigars. Don’t know what to buy but I’m cool with them smoking my cigars. They like the good stuff. Best friend smokes with me occasional favorite cigar is Herrera esteli Brazilian maduro in lonsdale. I find this interesting as he is a non smoker. But likes the thinner rings

On the golf course I always smoke lesser smokes. He will smoke too. Always mentions it’s decent but not as good as some of your other stuff.

I think some of the large ring smokers are trying to look like tony soprano or some ****

I don't really buy in to the "normal" ideas of what "noob" smokers should or shouldn't smoke. When a friend askes what a good cigar is to start with i don't fall into the troupe of assuming it should be a Connecticut or some super boring smoke (not saying Connecticut is always boring cause some are flavor bombs). I always ask follow up questions like, how do you take your coffee, what types of bears, hard liquors or even food does the person like? i tailor my cigar recommendation based on the answers.

If the person reports they like plain lattes, light beer, simple non complex cocktails and bland food i recommend simple, mellow cigars. If they like espresso, porters, peaty whiskey and complex foods then i recommend relatable cigars that are more flavor bombs.

the only hard fast rule i have is if they are not smokers then i always steer away from heavy ligero stuff.

I want them to have the best experience possible so i can hook them and create a new addict.

I also realize that some days even after 20 years i want a simple non complex easy smoke and some days i want something to taste and think about.

The street tacos carnitas was an impressive cigar for me. Unlike any Connecticut I ever smoked. I see they’ve become pretty popular. Maybe worth a single

What I enjoy are Cohibas, Camacho, Perdomo 10th Anniversary, montecristo white, Man O War Virtue, CAO black,Brasilia, and Flatheads.
As you can see my taste is all over the place. I tend to go milder but any Cohiba or Camacho is just fine!
I’ve had a few ABs that I like lately and im not adverse to a Kuba Kuba once in a while (rarely). Rocky’s are a staple too.

Interesting range of cigars, especially with the CAOs since the Brazilia and Flatheads are supposed to be more on the Fuller spectrum of smokes. Then again, variety is the spice of life.

Get over to the nOOb PIB and do some trades so you can broaden your horizons. 🇨🇮
