Ok I’m saying it. I’ve never had one of these mythical creatures and want one. Or a few. My palette is not worthy, I know, but I don’t care.
Where can I get some? Will CB have them? Should I care? And don’t dm me that you have a few to sell me. I don’t trust you.

You got a local Shpo that protects you?

They probably have some.

Where can I get some? As noted by Stogie and Delta, check your local(s) and that sweet place in FL. Will CB have them? I wouldn’t hold my breath. Should I care? Your call. You’ve survived 4 years on CBid without smoking one so does it really matter? You should be like the fox in that Aesop’s fable and just tell yourself that OX is nothing special (…while crying next time you see someone smoking an OX…) And don’t dm me that you have a few to sell me. Too bad, I was looking to do a lint pocket trade for what I bought them for ($15 to $22) but I’ll ask my nephew instead…at least he trusts me. And don’t DM me either, he already said he’d take all of them. I don’t trust you.

Additionally, I suggest you do a few more things:

1. Sign up for EVERY online vendor’s e-mail newsletters / daily specials. And when you do see a notice that they have OX in stock, you gotta jump on it! You snooze, you’ll lose.

2. Join EVERY online vendor’s “special” membership clubs (…Platinum Membership here is full so no point in trying to sign up…). Sometimes they offer their membership members the chance to buy HTF smokes prior to announcing it to the world.

3. Constantly Google search for “Opus X for sale” for the sites you mighta missed

4. Save all your nickels and dimes and be prepared to pay anywhere from $25 to $100 per…assuming you can find a vendor that has them.

Good luck!

One other option, if you have a stupid shop locally, the Fuente Holiday Packs generally have one Opus in the box. Try to buy THAT single.

I got a couple Opus X double Coronas for $10/ea once that way, otherwise most of that box is not great. In which case a sampler from the shpo in Ybor is the ticket.

Hit the nail on the head! I bought a couple of the 2020 Xtremely Rare Holiday sets solely for the OX 20th Father and Son cigars. Wasn't remotely interested in the other cigars (Double Chateaus, Hemingway Classic and Mag R54) but they came along for the ride. Average cost for each of the cigars came out to about $11 so I guess I made out?

In a couple, mebbe 3 years, I'll be sharing one of the OX F&S with my nephew when we go to his Dad's gravesite and smoke the other with my son at some point in time.

Those Holiday boxes used to be great. They gradually replaced great stuff with pedestrian. Good thing I don’t buy stuff anymore…

Took me some time to learn the secret hand shake at the local B&Ms for how to gets these. Have seen some new stock come in recently!

Scored a shark at local B&M for $25.

Like the 20th Ann. the best, Only seen 3 boxes in last 5 years. Last one I got was at a $30 plus price tag.

Found a few Fuente Fuente Opus X online for about $36 each. Pulled the trigger on few, and can consider that itch scratched.
Unless I really like em. Then I’ll have a problem

Frankly I don't think they are worth the money, but then I haven't really liked any of Fuente's offerings including the Opus and Anejo I tried. But them I am one of those 13 commies.

I was just looking at the website... they're $30+ each and I didn't see the power ranger or pretty much anything but the new Opus FFOX lost city or some shiite.

I’m not sure what this Florida place is your referencing. I picked up 2 Lost City this morning at a local BM for $29 each. Good price. So now I have 4 of these magical things.
I guess I need to sit on em for a bit to age.

Depending on how many different ones you bought, if you have multiples of the same vitola, you might wanna try one once they acclimate to their new surroundings. Some people prefer OX fresh (…don’t quote me but I think MACS is one of them…) while others swear by l-o-n-g naps. My palate prefers the l-o-n-g-e-r naps, 5-ish years at least.

I bought a few PRs at a Fuente smoker last year and while the prices were higher than a couple years prior, figured I hadda pull the trigger or have Buyer’s Remorse forever. Now I see they’re 20% more than what I paid for. Man, talk about inflation! [gonzo]
