My promo Xikar X4 just started falling apart, and since it's not "official" Xikar so no warranty, I am looking for deals on a Xi2, or 3.

The auctions have them around $30 plus plus. I know because I keep losing with my cheap azz bids.

Anyone have a line on any good deals for quality type cutters?

The monkey has a mystery xikar three pack of cutters for $39.99 at the moment. Same boat as your other one possibly, but you get a 3 for one shot 👍 👎 😕

I’ve heard Colibri are really good but they are really expensive

The only one I have came with a box purchase. I’ll check when I get home to see what shpo had it included. I don’t think I’ve ever bought a cutter 🧐. If I did I don’t remember doing so.

It was a special, (likely lower quality/design) model made for re-sellers/re-branding and did NOT have "Xikar" printed on the blades, so no lifetime warranty, but much lower (or free giveaway) cost.

Example:
https://www.cigarbid.com/mobile/auction/lot/2351591/smiley-x4-cutter-by-xikar/

The return/opening spring failed so while it still works, the mechanics are now funky. I could open it and try to fix it, but I actually need 2x new cutters in the Xi style hopefully (one for the office and one for home), so I was looking for a deal...

Thanks Tiver, I saw that, but they have a lot of the regular two finger sliding style and I figured I would end up with three 80 ring guage two-finger style ones made of plastic, which I don't want.

I might have 1 or 2 of those laying around. If I still have them, I haven't used in years. Always preferred a punch or v cut. If I can find them, your welcome to them.

Watch the auctions. Check prices. If you're patient you will be rewarded, especially since we're past the Holiday season.

Very generous JGraz, but no need.

DMV, you are right, I am getting less patient the older I get.

Lee, how the hell do I get a good deal by using my teeth??? 😝

If you buy DED a few beers you might get lucky and get a personalized (laser engraved) cutter for a divorce present.

Palio cutter also act as a cigar holder for that skirt chasing man on the go.

Dammit I did not get one of these cutters when I got divorced. Then again I did not buy any beers . What if you take him camping ?

I love my Palios,
Yes that is the plural of Palio.
Rick A.K.A. Deadeyedick, gifted me my first Palio, ****, it must have been 10 years ago, or maybe 15. It was my favorite cutter, ever. Unfortunately it burned up, in a Peterbuilt 379, that damn near killed me. Imagine what happens when a full, 150 gallon, drivers side fuel tank, falls off of the truck, at 70+MPH, and is rolled in front of the front drive axle. But I digress. I have since, purchased the better part of 2 dozen of them, that I keep in every vehicle I drive, including my semis. Relatively speaking they are fairly inexpensive, and stay sharp a really long time. I am yet to dull one, but I have this silly habit of giving them to friends. I have found them on the bay, and in the Amazon, as well as my favorite New York truck stop, in the Seneca Nation. My favorite cutter bar none.

Used to have a guy in town who would do that personalized engraving for me. Think I gifted about a dozen over the years.

The original Palio of 15 years ago were more expensive at about $35-$70, depending on design, but I think they sold the company and now they can be had pretty cheap iffn ya don't mind some company's logo printed on them.

And Dave, that had to be at least 15 years ago. I still have on with the carbon fiber design and it's still sharp.

I have two, the camouflage one DED kindly gifted me and my fancy faux wood grain one for black tie affairs.

I kinda gave up on Xikar when they made my return of a lighter a huge inconvenience. I buy good stuff that works or cheap stuff that works until it doesn’t.

Dave were you with a load or to a load when that happened?

Look fo the higher-end titanium Xikar.
I bought one 15 or so years ago and it is still fully intact and sharp as hell.
