I think you might be right!!! I can't pick Clemson on principal and I was pulling for Charlie Strong (Texas) because of the Gamecock connection. Oh well!!!

No back slapping...I just called my shot and made good on it! Nothing more, nothing less...7-1 in two days isn't too bad. I will take it!

Today I came back to the ground a bit but I wasn't as comfortable with those picks...lots of injuries, 6-6 teams, etc. I feel good about my chances going forward!

Bring it on!!!

lol, You should not have left the SEC train.

As far as picks, I currently can't find my azz with my hands handcuffed behind my back.

Not sure why. It looks like you weren't the only dumbazz to pick LSU.

Friendly 5er Anthony, I am sure LSU is the favorite or should be but I will play it straight up no spread.

If I weren't such a huge LSU fan, I would have chosen Notre Dame. I've had a bad feeling about this game for a while.

LSU has no passing offense. Half of their 150 passing yards today were off one pass. Of those 75 yards, 65 yards were after the catch.

I never expected them to score more than 21 points. I had hoped they could hold ND to two TD's or less. But, today the usually solid defense couldn't stop ND. I told Shaun early on that the game would come down to whoever had the ball last.

I'm a bit surprised Miles didn't go for it on 4th and 1 on their last drive. There's no way in hell I would have willingly given ND the ball back with so little time left in the game. The defense had given up too many clock consuming scoring drives already. Even if they didn't make it at least they would have had a little time left had ND scored (which they did). They would have gotten the ball back and would have had a chance to match what ever ND scored. Pretty stupid if you ask me.

LSU should have been given the TD at the end of the first half. The ball clearly broke the plane and was pulled back before the kicker's knee hit the ground, even though it took two different angles to make the determination. But, as I've said to Shaun, that should not have mattered.

At the end of the day, ND deserved to win. Play for play they beat LSU. Without a 100 yard kick off return for a TD and a long catch and run for TD. the score would have been much uglier.

Perhaps this is a wake call for those in the LSU athletic Department who have been drinking the "Les is More" Kool-Aid for way too long. Miles isn't a top tier coach and he shouldn't be paid like one. He can't recruit a great quarterback because one isn't gonna play for a cantankerous coach who relies more on gambling luck than an effective game plan.

It's why LSU looses more talent early to the NFL draft than any other team. They know they won't win a championship or for that matter an SEC championship under Miles. So given a good draft score the go.

Don't break your arm patting yourself on the back. ND went 8-5 this year. Such a record for such a "great" team leaves little to be proud of.

8-5 sucks and I thought they would have a 10 win season and some of those losses are just embarrassing but as crappy a year they had

As ugly a year as it was ND still beat a SEC team so what does that say about the SEC

OVERRATED!!

When Notre Dame joins a conference then you can comment about the SEC. Notre Dame has for years cherry picked the teams they play to showcase their strengths. Let their defense spend all season lining up week after week against an offensive line that averages 350#.

BTW, the SEC is currently 4-1 in bowl games. I'm not sure how you can say they are overrated just because a poorly coached LSU team team lost to an overrated independent. You just said the wager was a fiver. I haven't packed it yet, but the way you're running your trap. I may be inclined to forward the five of spectre's that showed up a while back.

ND played basically the same schedule for as long as I can remember until this year so how they hand picked the teams they wanted to play against to showcase their strengths is beyond me. Michigan, USC, MSU, Purdue, BC, and one of the academy schools each year for what has to of been at least 30 years now probably more until this year. Teams change year in and year out so how would they know which teams they want to play if those are always the teams on their schedule. They don't play an SEC schedule because SEC only plays teams like West Carolina, LA Monroe, and UT Martin out of conference. SEC has that well we beat up on each other all year so why play other good teams mentality but they fail to realize the rest of the conferences do to. Alabama best team in SEC this year by far the rest of them easily beat by the other conference champions imo. I would take Oregon, OSU, Baylor/TCU and whatever 1 I am missing over any other team in the SEC and some of them over Bama.

I don't care what smokes you send anyway the win was good enough for me.

Anthony if you want I will let you pick any NFL game this weekend and play the spread for double or nothing. I haven't even looked at a line yet but I am good with letting you pick this one if your game.

I wouldn't know who to pick. Don't watch NFL. You'll have a fiver headed your way. No worries, I'm sure I'll win them back at some point.

Last I checked the SEC had won 4 of 5 bowl games so far. Looks like Georgia is well on the way to making it 5-1. Not sure any other conference can boast that good a post game record this season.

As far as LSU vs Notre Dame; they have played 11 times. LSU has won 5 games. Notre Dame has won 6. Of those games 4 were bowl games. In that series LSU has won 2 and Notre Dame has won 2. From where I stand they are pretty even.
