Well, the leaders are either going to pull ahead by a nice margin, or find themselves in a very close race.

The standings with 1 games left:

T1 ... csgamecock ........... 24
T1 ... Abrignac ................. 24
3 ..... z6joker9 .................. 22
T4 ... illinichaser ............... 21
T4 ... SMGBobbyScott ..... 21
T4 ... delta1 ...................... 21
T4 ... hinzna ..................... 21
T8 ... Stinger88 ................ 20
T8 ... Gumby_130 ............ 20
10 ... Whizzy1 ................. 19
T11 .. DrafterX .................. 17
T11 .. Burner02 ................. 17
13 ... Wheelrite ................. 16
14 ... GregE93 .................. 15

csgamecock and Abrignac have 1st & 2nd locked up with a 2 game lead and only one game to go.

Joker is in 3rd, one win ahead of the pack.

Will Chris and I both pick the winner and have 1st & 2nd decided by a tie breaker?

Will Mo lock up 3rd with a correct pick, or will 3rd be settled by a tie breaker?

!!!!!! GOOD LUCK EVERYONE !!!!!!

Hey Chris, we could declare a truce and split it up. We both get 5 ten-packs.

Naw, remember what happened the last time someone was alleged to try to split a HOTM. Don't want to have that happen again.

It's 25 1/2 hours until kickoff and then this will be finished business.

As the not so successful players are pondering what to ship to the winners, keep in mind the ante guidelines.

From post one:

Ante Guidelines.

1) Absolutely no dog turds. One would expect to receive quality smokes. Therefore, one should be willing to risk the same. No five or ten packs of $2-$3 cigars. Though one may enjoy them, most others would consider them yard gars at best. Likewise, a $50 Gurkha that retails for $3 is not considered a good cigar.

2) Keep in mind that in the past most players included at least a few aged premiums therefore it is only fair that all others endeavor to risk something similar.

3) On the other hand, it is understood that not everyone has a stash of aged super premiums. But, there should be ample time between now and the end of the contest to pick up a selection of good, though not necessarily aged cigars.

Examples of what NOT to send:
Cigars sold on Free Fall for $4 or less or anything that resembles the same
Anything called a super premium, but is sold at an 80% or better discount

I upgraded, all I have are $2.50 Gurkha's. Damn, guess that means I can't play.

lol...look at all us clowns on the fringe, hoping for an upset...if OSU pulls it out, it'll be a five way tie for third with it going to the best guess for the final score. Good luck, gentlemen.

Clowns on the fringe? OSU has as good a shot at winning as does Oregon. Tied at 7 with 4:53 in the first. This will be a really great game.

Urban Meyer is as good a college head coach as there is. He's won 4 Championships. Both teams are well matched. Oregon has two of their biggest play makers on the bench. Oregon had a great first series. OSU seems to have adjusted. Should be a great game.

Good luck everyone.

Yes, all of us in the fourth (fringe) spot, looking up at the top three, hoping and wishing...taking OSU was our only shot at 3rd pl.

I'm really rooting for the Ducks, but this is different...got some cigars on the line.

If OSU wins.....

1st will be Abrignac
2nd will be csgamecock
3rd (see below)

Tie breaker rules from Yahoo:

Tiebreakers in College Football Pick'em

Are you in a tie, and want to know how it'll be decided? Here's how the winner will be decided.

Correct winner of the College Football Playoff.
Closest to total points scored in the College Football Playoff.
Closest to favorite’s score in the College Football Playoff.
Closest to underdog’s score in the College Football Playoff.

The following would move up to third place with z6joker9

But, z6joker9 would be out because he picked the loser

Third would be decided with whoever's combined score is closest to combined game score.

Illinichaser = 55
Hinzna = 86
delta1 = 72
SMGBobbyScott = 78

If Oregon wins:

1st will be csgamecock
2rd will be Abrignac
3nd will be z6joker9

As soon As Yahoo posts the final standings, I'll plot firing solutions.

From the looks of things it will be:

1st Abrignac
2nd csgamecock
3rd illinichaser

Thanks to all who played.

See ya next year.

IIRC, this is the first time the top standings weren't decided before the last game was played.

Me too.

This was my third time playing in the bowl pick'em and the second regular season pick'em. Before, I'd watch the LSU games and that was pretty much it. Now on Saturdays I find myself watching 1 game on the big screen and at least 1 game or as many as 4, on my laptop.
