I don't hate the Padres: they have always seemed like the friendly but outclassed competitor, even when Garvey helped them get to the Series a few decades ago. Maybe the Kemp trade will trigger something similar.... Now, if they can only score in the low double digits, I'd be really happy with them.

It's the Giants that I really dislike...

In completely unrelated news, both the Padres and the (hated) Dodgers had rain delays last night. Probably happens once a century. Not sure the Padres have had a rain out in their "new" ballpark that is 12 years old.

"Oh my goodness, we've got ourselves a natural disaster!"

Didn't rain long or hard enough to salvage the win for the Dodgers, who were leading when the umps stopped play after 6 innings. Marlins won the game when play resumed after an hour and half delay. By then, only a few hundred fans were still there. Another hour and they may have declared the Dodgers the winner of a rain shortened complete game.

Giants putting up 11 right now on SF with only the top of the ninth to add to it.

Mets already have 14 (!) on the Brewers in their half of the 7th. The Brewers' starter (Garza) gave up 10 earned runs in 3 and a 1/3. Raised his ERA 40% in one night.

Looks like Cleveland screwed me and Blue Dude. They got a 12 today. If they get a 13 I win $400 in another pool I am in and if they got an 11 Blue Dude would have won the smokes!!

Bart,
Looks like Drafter made the correct choice by not swapping you the Nats for the Angels.
He has ONE to go, while you and I wallow in last place needing FIVE.
At least the Nats have a chance of getting hot and finishing SOMEWHERE "in the money".
The Phillies ? I doubt they will score in double digits this entire season.

That's what I thought last year when I had the Padres, yet they pulled it off and scored me a 2nd place finish.

Not sure what sucks more...him or the Phils.
Well, I'm sure you will enlighten everyone once you figure it out.

As were one of the first to only need 2 left, and will likely be the last to get either 11 or 13 runs. SMH. This is gonna be like the year I missed the NFL Playoff/Super Bowl fantasy contest BY ONE POINT!

Stupid taking a safety. Still hurts.

Let'sRock got his 12 when the Cardinals beat up on my hapless Phillies Friday night.
Chances are good that he could get the winning 13 on Saturday

So after giving it some thought I have decided that instead of coming up with creative tie breakers like who got the last needed number on Sunday first or what team has played less games or what team had gotten the highest number last I have decided that chazbo and Bullmastif will split the first and second place prizes which totals 16 smokes so each will receive 8 smokes.

My game my rules!!!!!

Congrats to the winners and we still have 4 more places to pay. I will send out who owes who once all prizes and been claimed.

I have updated post 1 with the winners.

There should not be a problem at all.

Detroit came in first and it took 69 games.

Toronto came in second and it took 71 games.

Where do you see a problem?

These pools go by the lowest game count if multiple people would hit on the same day.

Check any 13 Run Pool site and you will see the same.

Even use the site that we used here.

http://www.free13runpool.com/20150405

Bottom line is your pool your rules.

Ok, after reading Tiger's post I have changed my mind and will award 1st place to Bullmastif since his team did it in less games.

Chazbo will take 2nd place.

It is even in this order on the site use fr this league

http://www.free13runpool.com/20150405

Hope everyone is cool with this.....

Congrats to the winners.
