82780 -- Micallef Connecticut...excellent mild/medium cigar wrapped in Ecuadoran Connecticut leaf, Nicaraguan Habano binder and filled with tobaccos from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua makes this a different smoke than the usual Connecticut broadleaf cigar....compares favorably to the Ashton Classic, but for less money...

edit: ooopsies...corrected the number...

82782 Fugazi COTY compare to Fuente Don Carlos

Its not bad but has that astringent quality I can't stand. It's got decent flavor otherwise, cinnamon and cedar mostly. Not like the compare to opus cigars, this is definitely a $3 house brand bundle smoke and I wouldn't recommend it.

82783 Fugazi COTY compare to Cuban Montecristo.

Immediately apparent this is a Raymond Pages blend. It's got that Hoppes9 solvent note right out the gate. I can't power through that. Tossed at a half inch.

I wonder if a year or two of age would knock it down. Maybe it's the flavor of a rushed product. I bought two of these samplers, so the 2nd ones gonna stay boxed for a long long time.

82784 Fugazi COTY compare to EPC Pledge

Another one loaded with the solvent note, huge blast of pepper on retro and the finish tastes like Play-Doh.

I'm gonna push through as the solvent subsided. But the pepper and Play-Doh remain.

It wasn't bad. Stayed pepper and earth. The sweet n salty Play-Doh gave way to more typical filthy MSA notes kinda coarse/harsh heavy pepper and dirt. I've never had Pledge because I don't think I'd like it, and this I'd kinda the experience I assumed Pledge would be - pepper n dirt bomb.

82791 Fugazi COTY compare to Cohiba Behike

First one I had was a super tight draw, bitter, and tossed early. DED had one recently that sucked. I'm on a quest to smoke through at least one complete fugazi sampler. There's two varieties of sampler, I bought 2 of each.

Today's is pretty good. Nice spice blend, not just the usual pepper and cinnamon/cedar. Something else I can't finger. Cardamom? Draw is perfect, burn is perfect. I like this one a lot.

This came from two Fugazi COTY samplers I bought. I have zero confidence that buying a bundle of these today would get me the same cigar I just smoked this morning tho.

I don't whine. I offer sobering and insightful critical analysis.

Maybe I pout a little.

I think I have complained about that name before though.

And, Jake, you are right about the Aging Room vibrator or whatever it is they call a toro. AR is bad with the dumb names.

82797: Monte Perlado

82798: Diesel Unholy Cocktail wow, this one has been in my storage only a couple months since I smoked the first one. What a difference a couple months of rest has made. This cigar jumped off of my “never again” list and is a solid dog walker / yard ‘gar. The savory and light sweetness was very well balanced for my taste and the light black pepper retro was just barely there. More pepper would have been okay but just a hint mixed very well with the savory and sweet flavors. I think I’m starting to get my storage setup and RH where I like it. Many thanks to you brothers for patiently answering all of those questions I was asking.

82803 Fugazi COTY compare to Tatuaje.

Don't say which tat to compare it to but regardless it tastes like nothing Pete Johnson has ever made.

Decent spice blend, hard to really pin anything in any of these, pepper and assorted spices. Burn is difficult. May be my fault smoking outta bulk storage and not putting it in the desktop for a month. But other cigars in that tote smoke just fine.

Anyways, it's not bad. It's certainly no Tatuaje, and won't be a repeat buy.

82804: San Pedro de Marcoris Nic Robusto with thanks to Jake
Had this in my smoke box at approximately RH59 for a week. The storage sistema I pulled it from was at RH70. I thought a week would be long enough to dry it out but it could have been better with another 3 days in the smoke box. It was still a pretty good cigar and it burned well. Good looking cigar too. Nice dark Habano with invisible seems, savory and toasty, a little sweetness in second third, plenty of smoke and the draw for me was perfection. Thanks, Jake, for the good cigar. I would definitely smoke again.

82905 Fugazi COTY compare to Montecristo. Another compare to a whole brand...

Well, it tastes like Hoppes9 solvent. Maybe a note of the smell of the lubricant on those gummy fishing lure worms or silly putty. Really nothing else going on. There's a spicy sensation in my mouth like a hot sauce burn, but no flavor to go with it. I don't like NC Montecristos but I'd happily take one of those over this hot garbage.

82906 Fugazi COTY compare to EPC Encore.

Tastes like a combination of the two prior. I think this is rushed production/incomplete fermentation of the leaves. There's a grassy/green component to them too. No richness or depth of flavor, no texture.

This too was a 1" smoke before tossing in the fire. 3 cigars lit, 3" smoked.

I'm recommending an immediate cease and desist on the Fugazi. They make a better punk band than a cigar apparently

82809: Oliva V Lancero. Great smoke that has got me hooked on long-skinny cigars. Will definitely be posting more in the future.

82810: Too bad that can't be said of the second cigar tonight. Obsidian White Torpedo. To start with it's mora it's a pyramid or very close. With a deep V cut your about suck your ear together trying to get a toke. The cigar has a perfect feel until you get to the last inch of the head and then it is rock hard. Definitely over-packed in the bunching. It's a good flavor after really over-cutting. It's a shame as I'll never know. This problem has been present in the 3 I've smoked out of a five pack. Too bad.

I didn't find the difference between the regular and Reserva to be significant enough to warrant the price.
