Which isn't necessarily true.
It could have been the Independents (Unenrolled) that put trump on the R ticket.
Either way, you want to pigeon hole anyone who is registered a certain way, and in this instance it doesn't really hold much water.
The people who are sick and tired of the same old same old are the ones who put Trump on the ballot.
be they Republican or Independent.
But it wasn't "the republicans" as a whole, because the leadership of that party was dead set against it.
Trump won the republican nomination.
It's semantics (sorry Frank), but it's not the same thing that you're stating.
