I got to spend 2 weeks on the set for Gettysburg with the Fife and Drum corp i was part of at the time in the early 90s. each night at dinner we would go to massive tents for a meal, they would play footage from the previous days filing on big TVs in the tents and lots of the main cast would join us for meals. they would randomly pick tables for each of them to sit at and converse with he extras so on any day you could have a meal with any one of them. it was very cool of them to do instead of just going off to trailer village with the other stars.
Thats Awesome... I am a Civil War and Indian Wars Buff... back in the 90's I'd ride my Harley out to battle fields of the civil war and old forts and battles out west of the Indian wars. Gettysburg battlefield was something. the minute I pulled up on that Sacred Ground the hair stood up on the back of my neck and arms and remained that way the entire time I was touring the locations of the battles that took place, the same thing happened when I visited "The Wilderness" battlefield (Forest) Custers Battlegrounds my hair stood up once again.. to walk over those grounds touring is something else!!! another out west was Oglala Sioux Nation "Wounded Knee" and the history there...
