Note 1. Rick they are not quite the same.Fascists want control in a manner that would upset most modern conservatives. As properly defined with Fascism the government controls the ends of production like a ruling board over businesses that directs the general direction and production of said industries.Citzens are allowed to keep ownership but have to listen to what the government dictates. Most conservatives would find this to be a horrible condition. For instance, just look at Hillary Clinton's medical fiasco of around 8 years ago or so.What she was proposing was actually a fascist styled governing system for medicine. In attempt I believe to make a plan more favorable to certain members of Congress, industry, and Americans in general. It failed miserably.
Note 2.Communism never truly existed, but Socialism in its most extreme state has often been named Communism. Most modern liberals(I do not mean Democrats as there are varying degrees of political thought in that party)favor Socialism and look fondly towards the ideal of Communism failing to grasp that the only road that the ideal of communism leads to is what we have known as Communism. In other words such thought s lead to the real world of Lenin and Stalin not the ideal(theirs not mine)of Marx and Engels. This is not to say that when faced with this realty many have not turned away or compromised their positions. But Modern Liberalism is married to radical egalatarianism,or if you will equality in all arenas especially the ends .This eventually leads one at least philosophically to a position similar to Marx even without Hegel and his thoughts. However conservatives at least modern day American conservatives are more inclined to libertarian ideas which leads one far from Fascism or Communism to another concept known as Democracy and Freedom.Of course I am simplifying much but I have not all day ,so
Good Day.
