Released by Indian Tabac, the Vintage by Rocky Patel is considered the best they’ve done to date. The wrapper tobaccos are the key - in fact they are incredible.
Offered in 2 styles - Vintage 1990 ’12 Year Aged’ and Vintage 1992 ’10 Year Aged’:
- the Vintage 1990 is a blend of Dominican and Nicaraguan Ligero draped in a tantalizing 12 year old natural Broadleaf wrapper from Honduras. It’s medium-bodied but with a really enjoyable, complex smooth-rich flavor.
- the Vintage 1992 offers the identical fillers and binder as the 1990, with the variation being the use of a very dark 10 year old Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper. It’s medium-bodied with a creamy, nutty, and full flavor.
What we have here are "seconds" that were rejected by Rocky due to minor cosmetic issues. Either the wrapper was too light, too dark, contained a sun spot or minor discoloration somewhere. Either way, they smoke and taste the same. Same tobaccos, same quality and care, just a minor imperfection that the untrained eye may not even notice.
These cigars are box-pressed.
