And, welcome.
That last sentence will win you the love of Rambo, I am sure. d'oh!

Well, since everyone here seems to meet with your definition of "mooch" - I accept your pronouncement with the humor and grace with which it was offered. And thank you for the kind welcome.

I have a couple of boxes of the Double Happiness - haven't tried any yet, though. What is your recommendation - cut 'em in half or do the whole thing?

I am, of course, assuming that the "Double Happiness" to which you refer is the cigars and not some other type of "home-grown" material.

Okay - but if I enable your mooch behavior, what's in it for me? (I should inform you at this juncture that I am a particularly gifted enabler.) My services aren't expensive, but they do come at a price.
I wouldn't say "no" to any Partagas you reel in on your "fishing expeditions" (pun on your handle unintended but thoroughly enjoyed.)
Just throwing it out there...
I'd start an "ISO free Partagas" thread, but I don't want to come off as a mooch. I'm still working my rep as a pot-stirrer and poo-flinger.

Yes - I'm bored outta my gourd waiting for the superbowl commercials to begin...

Realizing that someone will think this should be posted somewhere else - I just wanted to say that I posted it here because I figured that the mooches of the world have probably tried more types of cigars than most of us (although I think I fit the definition of "mooch")

My local cigar club is sampling the following cigars this coming Monday night. I was just wondering if any mooches (or anyone who somehow doesn't qualify as a mooch) might have had any experience with them. They are:

1. Nica Libre 1990 Exclusivo (Robusto 5.5 x 50)
2. Aging Room M356 Mezzo (Toro 6 x 54)
3. Alec Bradley Black Market (Gordo 6 x 60)
4. Nestor Reserve Maduro (Torpedo 6.5 x 54)
5. Padilla Hybrid Maduro (Gordo 5 x 56)

I have tried the AB Black Market (which I liked a lot) and the Padilla Hybrid (also pretty good), but have zero experience with the others.

Don't underestimate the amount of azzhat'ery that is contained within these walls (I'm such an individual as well...I ain't perfect...however, I do at least try to use rational thought before I make a post and think if what I'm saying is making a positive contribution in some way)....

At the same time though, most of these 1st ISOs if you're new, are for things like "Tat Franks"...and when you're given an offer, where you actually have to give up your OWN cigars in return (non-limited ones mind you)...and you say "nope, that's not gonna work"....well, you deserve to be torched.

If you post an ISO, post what you're offering in return in the thread. That will, at least I'd like to think, give you a decent foundation for finding what you're looking for...and not leave any room for confusion, or poo-slinging. Or at least less room anyway.

I agree with this 100%. it seems with the popularity of cigars, then more noobs and more uninformed noobs. I was on another forum, and a noob came on and said "is this the cigar website, where they 'bomb' you, and you get a bunch of free cigars?". Somebody misinformed him, but he was on to get free cigars, obviously. Sad.

Why don't you guys just start a thread and call out these mooching nancys by name instead of beating around the bush. God forbid anyone make a mistake, look for a hookup or rub the wronge person, but not every person is the same. Many of you post shi't like this in every thread you get the chance, like cacman here, and you feel it's safe to sterotype because you can.

I'm just tired of certain azzholes jumping from thread to thread thinking they are perfect, that it's ok to talk shi't about people so long as they don't use names etc. WTF, are we in middle school again? You may not even be talking about me or another BOTL here, but man up and call your ace an ace! If someone does something stupid, help them learn from it. If they continue then scour them. If they do something you don't like, deal with it, that's life! Nobody is obligated to give or do anything.

You know where I stand w/ you Lancaster based on our PMs...and that this thread was never about you, although you started w/ a circumstance that was fitting...and clearly have chosen to take something from it. Which is good on you bro..truly.

And it'd be easy to name names...but I honestly think it serves more of a purpose to not. If anyone thinks twice about how they go about their business here as a result, then that's more of a benefit than throwing a handful of dudes under the bus IMO.
