REM - Life's Rich Pageant

Late night drive. I'd forgotten how strong the album is start to finish.

Early REM is ripe listening. Love the Eponymous cd for mining all the gold.

Haha, no cigar tonight in the garage. Usual family day and then some work b.s. so had to sacrifice something.

But as you can tell, music is my thing. From vinyl to CD to bit torrents to online streaming, always found a way to listen to the artists I enjoy.

Pink Floyd Animals. Still solid, but not quite as awesome as I remember. Might be due to lack of THC accompaniment

Marvin Gaye - What's Going On - 40th Anniversary (Super Deluxe)

Even after all these years, this still makes my Top 10 Deserted Island list. In it's time, the songs were so spot on to what was going on in this country.

Michael Nesmith - The Prison

I haven't listened to this in a couple of years but need to put this back into my rotation again. And yes, the same Michael Nesmith of Monkees fame...but nothing like that '60s pop stuff.

The last time I listened to this I musta been in high school or my first year in college. Paul Kossoff was such a great but under appreciated talent.

A heartfelt favorite. Listened to that double-album as I was leaving PA with a truck packed full for a 3-day road-trip to my new home Colorado.

I listened to "The Weight" just as I was crossing the PA border for the last time.

Aerosmith - Aerosmith

Loved their first 4 albums, lukewarm thereafter.

Saw them twice in concert. First time in '76, man, they were LOUD! Second time in '78 or '79 at the Aloha Stadium, they sounded like crap.

I still hung with them up till "A Night In The Ruts"...a LOT to like on that.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JSyOIR83pBk&index=1&list=PL61-1sL-Y-DAJkRYgDGwffHiP6fWJmpgI

Drugs and the RNR "lifestyle" did them in and until Desmond Child got in there and help them craft lyrics...they were floundering. I was soooo lucky to see them before the wheels came off their cart and they spun out. Saw them on a very terrible tour too (I can't go so far as to say it was THE worst...Bocephus falling all over the stage multiple times and forgetting what song he was playing ranks as my personal worst!) and understand why say that.

I really wish they would return to the "classic" sound just one more time. They have soooo many songs that are out there in various stages of completion waiting for a finish touch. Their last album? That was just garbage.
