Immediately thought of Keye Luke, the Chinese-American actor who had roles in the Charlie Chan movies and Gremlins. Also on TV’s Kung Fu with David Carradine.

This K. Luke is Jonathan Maisano's own label that he named after his two children. They could be related to Keye but probably not. :)

Went in to a local for my usual Glenfiddich 14...sadly they were out of stock. I was kinda bummed until the rep asked me if I had tried the Glen Fohdry American Oak Cask. Told him I hadn't and he said he'd be back...came back with an opened bottle and said they had a tasting a few weeks ago. Poured a couple of plastic cups with a generous shot for me and a friend...right out of the gate...no chipped ice...it was tasty with a warm mouth feel but the notes I read about it were spot on. Bought a bottle for 34 bucks and change...had it sitting over chipped ice for about a half hour and this is really nice...and cheap. NOT my usual, but for the price point...I'd buy it again.

Kentucky Tavern reserve select bourbon - not great but a decent mixer and good enough for a straight drink.

But I’m still able to enjoy my bourbon!
Hope all is well with you.
