Just fired up a Partagas Short.
A quick little smoke, before a shower and a bed.
I sleep days, and work at night.

I still have a pretty good inventory, of Cuban cigars. I quit smoking all tobacco, for 5 years when I quit smoking cigarettes. Just started back, with the weekly cigar, a couple of years ago. Smoking more often now, 3-5 a week. Just don't want to get carried away, and smoke all day every day.

cubans have gotten Way expensive since the Chinese bought a piece of Habanos & the selection is paltry. Im giving them up. I will not pay $18 for an Upmann Regalia that was 6 bucks, even if Marvin Shankin says they are good. Hello, Mark Twain & Macanudo

I bought a 50 cab from 2003 for like $300 and they were among the very best cigars I every had. I feel your pain trying to save the last few. Enjoy them!

Had a Bolivar pc, from 2008, on Tuesday. And a San Cristobal de Habana El Principe, from 2012 last night.
Both were very good.

This was one of the cigars Gae9 (MIA) traded back in 2016. According to John, this was rolled at the La Corona Cigar Factory in '13 or '14.

A Monty #2 with double ligero sounds pretty happenin.

Had a Trinidad Esmeralda last night. It was a toro. Good flavors, but a tad on the mild side for me. A Monty 2 with double ligero woulda been better.

No, not really…but the caveat is that I don’t have the most sophisticated palate; however, nothing close to sweet, in fact, just the opposite. For whatever reason the JL#2s I have, have more of a peppery profile. It has toned down over the years but at this point in time, they’re not a cigar I think about smoking more often.

Strange. I love the JL2 and almost all have had a mellow, woody profile.

Yup, it is strange, especially since that’s the profile I get from the JL#1. I thought fo’ sure the #2s would be the same or at least close. It’s just gotta be this particular batch of cigars.

Imma havta dig into the stash to see if I have anymore of the JL1 or JL2s...smoked a few a while back, liked them but don't have specific memories of their profiles, other than they were not like typical Cuban cigars with the grassy, floral semi-sweet base

Just about to light up, a JL #2.
This is from a cab of 50 from 2014. this will be the fourth stick I have smoked from this cab. The first two I smoked, too young. The third was great. Let's see how good number four is.

How can you smoke that chit? If that is your only CC experience, you need to move on to some better stix quickly and not waste your time or money. No offense intended. On the other hand, you might like them so YMMV
