4 mile hike this morning. Puppy dogs been doing nothing but laying about ever since.

Campground emptied out. I picked a pretty secluded site as usual but this whole branch of the campground is pretty well deserted now. Just one other camper on this road. Nice n quiet.

Wife made some chicken chili and tossed in the leftover chorizo from this morning. Pretty tasty.

Gonna put some jiffy pop on the fire and grab a cigar n beer.

Friday night we were at some friends and they tried jiffypops over the fire... Didn't shake it enough and let a hole burn thru it.. then they tried putting it in a cast iron pan.. failed again... I shoulda been supervising.. didn't hear about their methods until after the fact... Mellow

Definitely more hands on than a microwave bag.

Says all over the package not to use on campfire. Just gotta do it right.

RyJ short Churchill. Not too impressed, too mild in flavor but still strong enough to glue me in the chair for a bit. Or maybe that was the Belgian quad. Or both

Wife went to bed at 2030...

She's got a habit of throwing bottles in the fire pit. So, 15 more logs on the fire, lit an Ashton and cracked another beer. Gonna make em disappear before I call it a night.

Of course. Always leave the place a little better than you found it.

Milly and I went for a walk a mile up the road to the flush toilets to drop a grumpy without waking wife or kid. There's nobody here. Usually DNR will still be patrolling all night. But I didn't even see them.

Saw 3 occupied sites excluding mine. Over a mile of road, just 3 sites. Crazy.

Kinda wanna hit the trails. Bright fullish moon, nobody around. But my luck I'd fall n break an ankle while Milly dog ran off after a raccoon and I'd freeze to death. Down to 49 already tonight. Low of 42. Gonna have to head indoors soon.

yah, I noticed that too after my surgery...

and also noticed how many old people there are after I retired...went to an indoor mall a few months after retirement and saw all the white, blue and gray hair... thought ,"there sure are a lot of old people here"...then I saw my reflection...dayum...

BTW Dan: can't freeze with a low of 42, and if you are overweight, like many of us, you'll be fine...

Did some more hiking today but the knees gave up. Too many stairs and steep inclines.

Last night here. Then back home and back to work. Probably going to winterize the camper too. Water heater burst, and I sprung another water pipe... Too much to fix for another trip this year.

A little of both. Going in an hour later. Days vary from 7-10 hours. Loaded heavy in the front, lighter in the back end of week.

We are more defined by the hundreds of people who helped others, by those who ran TO the scene of carnage to lend a hand, by those who shielded others with their own bodies, by the hundreds who came out to donate blood... than by that one lunatic who lost his damn mind.

Remember that.

Ahhhhh.... That would explain the overbidding on Gurkhas. Someone needs to get Psych to sit and have a little talk with Hank. Tell him he needs to have a conversation with the gatekeeper to pass a message to the other personalities. Tell them to "QUIT BIDDING AGAINST EACHOTHER!" Brick wall Brick wall Brick wall

I've had king hankie Panky blocked for a long time. He has nothing worth reading. He is a psychic vampire of sorts.
