Currently 41 going to 63 and sunny with wind 5 -10. Bike ride will take a few minutes less this morning due to reduced wind speed.

Guess it will be a little nippley on the beach for the spring breakers. Yes, spring break has started and will have to avoid Hwy 59 at all cost for the next month.

Is there an Indian meme for why the longest day of work is always the day before vacation, then when it's finally time to leave it still feels like there's still so much to do? Maybe I should plan to take more off the top of the blanket this morning.

up to about 6 inches of snow on our way to an expected 20...all falling on the left over 5 inches still on the ground around here.

Big winds, strong possibility of power loss for the third time in March.

Danm, started reading about natural gas whole house generators the other day, scratched the surface is all, but it appears to be limited to 3 brands...Generac, Kohler, and Briggs & Stratton.
Gonna do a lot more research cuz I really don't plan to spend an evening with a one-call closer in my house for a few hours.

Have a friend who put in a Generac when he rehabbed a beautiful home on Cape Cod several years ago, said it cost a little over 10K when all was said and done including electrician. His home is larger than mine, but it has been a few years. Might have to get somewhat less than "whole" house option.

Should be an education this Spring.

So I may have to kill my "boss"....

So I'm a contractor (1099) for pharmaceutical companies. What that ultimately means is that there is a company which pays me to fulfill contracts they get with various pharma companies. I am currently doing projects at 3 different companies, but all my money comes through the one company which has the 3 contracts. I refer to the owner of that company as my "boss" simply because he pays me. I don't report to him in any meaningful way.

But this latest project... is already driving me nuts.
The client lead (the person who I actually need to keep happy and report to) is one of the women who my "boss " is sleeping with. So he has conversations about the project deliverables randomly with her. And invariably gets them wrong.

So rather than her telling me what she wants... I get him telling me what he thinks she told him she wants... me doing it, then talking to her and finding out that he was nowhere near correct.

This has happened twice in 2 days.

Frank I have a Generac at my house. It was installed by the previous owner. I think it was about 5k for the unit and final bill 7k after installation.

I can say that I do love having it. Mine runs the water pump/sump pumps, air, furnace, bathrooms, kitchen, and 2 main living spaces. It is maxed out but the bedrooms and outside lighting are the items he left off which isn't a big deal.

The pm items come in a kit and is easy to do yourself. I let it run 10 mins each week set on a timer. The only problem that I have is if its really cold at times it won't kick over on the startup so I have to go out and manually cycle it on. The problem becomes compounded as the tank empties. So a full tank (80%) will almost always kick on, as it drops near 60% anything in the low teens gives it grief. Around 45% any freezing temp gives it grief. The fix is switch it off auto into manual and letting it try to fire itself for a few minutes. It's always kicked on eventually. After figuring out the drop in pressure causes the difficulty starting I will just have them come out and fill when I get close to 50. I think my tank is 250 gallons and early this winter was my first fill in 5 years of owning the house but we've only lost power once.

When we go fishing, captain Brad will find big rock piles where those bait fish are hovering...

when we drop our 10 oz jigs to the bottom, the goal is to make it look like a slightly larger fish that's been injured while feeding on the bait fish....

you leave the jig on the bottom for a second and then pop it up before you get snagged (the boat is drifting across the rock pile), and then lay it back down again for a second... eventually a big ling cod will grab it...

would it be different for me since I have piped in natural gas for heat and also for my grill?

7 years just might be right.
Caren is heading there Thursday morning, if the flight isn't canceled, to visit her sisters. She needs to get away, and I just couldn't get myself to go.

Well Frank I guess your pressure would remain constant. I also have natural gas piped in for heat. Other than plumbing to the back of the house I now don't know why they went with tank lp instead. I've got 6 hrs to think about it on the drive tomorrow...

I'm not shoveling either. Maybe a little clean up after the plow boys come and take care of it all.

I'll be 65 this Summer, took over sole responsibility for exterior maintenance for my father when I was about 10, he was near 50 and it felt right to me.

Eventually he bought electric mower and snowblower for me, but had much less to do than I have here. So I retired from it all about 10 years ago.

Pee all you want on the walk. I used to get super ice melt with urrea(?) in it. Worked great and made any part of the lawn super green in the Spring.
Plus, we use the garage door almost exclusively...so low hep exposure.

Do it, do it, do it... It's so fun you'll piss your pants and give yourself the hep.

I was smart enough to pull over and show my johnson to a few hundred people on an exit ramp while I peed. Most of them were impressed, but I guess some were friggin porn stars and such...

Anthony and Al at least clapped when my urination lasted more than several minutes. In fact, Anthony accused me of bragging, which we all know is preposterous. I'd have taken an exit and peed on the side of a feed store if I wanted to brag.
