Hehehe....
Environmental impact of eating meat has been a big thing here on the west.... it's an attempt by vegetarian groups to make it more popular. Essentially what it comes down to is the amount of water and land necessary to raise cows has a pretty bad environmental impact. They aren't wrong.... but it's irrelevant as long as people keep breeding like they do. So I'm not gonna forgo my desert on the titanic.

Also, there are enough wild atlas deer on one Hawaiian island to feed dinner to everyone in the world... The problem isn't meat, it's farms...

That's not gonna work. After you eat them once, you have no more. And the variability in hunting leads to waste (some days you may catch more than you need, others you don't catch enough).

Lets talk environmental impact - I will concentrate on grazing animals and not protein factories.

Yes cows on the same flat piece of farmland produces less nutrition per acre than crops. And of course there are impacts of cattle on the land, different, but not necessarily less than crops.

There are huge areas of this country that should not be farmed for grain or vegetables. These same areas can support cattle and produce food.

Cattle can graze on land that would otherwise require irrigation. Cattle can graze on native range, not requiring fertilizer and pesticide application.

In some areas crops are rotated with pasture in order to allow land to rest and to avoid buildup of crop pathogens in the soil. It is not always a good idea to keep intensively cropping the same land. Cattle allow an alternative revenue for the land.

Cattle can graze up the side of steep hills that are not reasonably farmable. And if you tried to farm these areas, you likely create erosion and sedimentation in creeks and waterways.

Pasture areas or native rangeland with low density of cattle can support other wildlife not welcome in cultivated farms.

Areas with naturally poor soils are ideal for grazing whereas to farm them you would need to expend extra cost and energy to make them productive.

The increased mechanization of farming using bigger and bigger tractors results in more odd shaped areas that are not practical to crop. Mainly because small areas between gullies or other natural features can not be reached by equipment. Cows dont have that problem.

I have never had Atlas Deer. My thinking is if each deer is holding up the celestial vault then I bet they would be great wrapped in bacon with a side order of Space age saturn onion rings and some sautéed Mars Mushrooms, presented on a china plate with fancy sharp silver knife and fork along with an ice cold bottomless crystal mug of American IPA. Anxious and let us not forget, the bowl of chilled crisp greens lightly covered in your favorite dressing.

If this has some sort of environmental impact, I dont give a rats azz lol.

LMAO brother, you need to head deeper south for a bit to learn what good food really is.

I think it is best with leftover spaghetti. I have seen some folks make the spaghetti then fry it. I feel this is a mistake. It has to be leftovers from the day prior as the flavors really infuse overnight in the fridge.

Same with a slab of fried meatloaf for samichies at lunch time!

Damn it now I am hungryDrool . Azzhats every stinking one of you!ram27bat

Dan,
Melt as much butter as your conscience will allow in a frying pan. (Don't be shy !)
Throw in some "leftover" spaghetti, (other types of pasta will work, as well, but I prefer thin spaghetti), and heat on medium to high, stirring frequently.
(You don't want it to burn)
Add some Parm or Romano shaky cheese, and your set to go.

Bon appetit !

Finally after 2 years some good news.

My neuropsychologist let the wife and I know that she had come to a conclusion on the first of my many list of brain issues. She told us that the first and foremost was to deal with the problem of sleep. She said of all my issues this one is an issue that is detrimental to my future health especially with all the other issues meaning my heart. She said that a body going without sleep for a long period of time leads to issues with increased heart attacks, strokes etc which we know.

My issue of no perception of time and sleep cycles being as screwed up as your sisters tackle box was the first thing she started studying. She said that after reading over the records from our first visit and looking at the images of my stroke with the hypothalamus being hit. She said I have textbook what they call "Non24"

Now for the wild part, this mostly happens to people that are totally blind. It happens to them because they do not have the visual cues such as being able to see daytime and night time. It is a circadian rhythm disorder so with blind people not being able to see this it throws off their internal clock.

She said in my case I am not totally blind so I see the visual cues but due to the brain damage in the hypothalamus my internal clock itself has been damaged or thrown out of whack and it has presented itself as Non24. She said with people that are not blind they can typically treat with light therapy. She said this would not work for me and she had to throw in that my previous neurologist should have known this. She said him suggesting turning lights on in the AM and off in the PM and setting alarms was asinine because it would not work.

Of course the next question was what will work if anything. She said the only other option for me would be sedation at night. This idea I do not like but when she went on to say, This is just to try and reset the clock. She said that for a short period of time every night I would have to knock myself out and hopefully the clock will reset and then I would come off the meds. Now she did tell us that this may not reset my clock due to the damage could be to extensive. If that is the case then I will be taking a pill every night to drug myself to sleep. She could tell I did not like this one bit and she told me she understood but better to sleep regular by taking a pill than going days without sleep as that will lead to a worm dirt bed in a hurry. Now comes the long process to finding the right dose and all that BS but hey, that is one issue down I guess right? I am thinking that if it "resets" Great, if not and I end up having to take a strong sleeping pill every night not so great but still issue resolved I guess. Now just a few more issues to go. I think my next two visits for testing is sometime this month.
