Took today off to stay home with the 6yo who had the flu. Gonna just relax on the couch all day while he lays down on the chair and watches YouTube videos. At least he is watching a wide variety of stuff. Right now it's all about people baking fun cakes.

Have him check out

How Ridiculous - for kids, goofy Australians drop stuff from way up

Backyard scientist (watch with him)

Flair - not specifically for kids but my kids watch... Started as a fishing channel but morphed into a lot of farming and trapping...

No, it’s mine, so it’s cut with a fifth of bourbon and the cookies are rum soaked. Definitely not grandpas’ lemonade.

Thought about it, but if they call later with double time I will still go in.

I logged in from home, it looks doable with the staff they've got. A helluva lot better than what I was dealing with the last 7 nights.

Still sick......finally went in to the clinic last night........
“yes, you are quite sick.
Here, take these 3 drugs, and if you’re not feeling better in 4 days, please come back.

Rumor has it there’s a case of Corona virus south of us in Crescent City, and one north of us in Gold Beach.
Hmmm......

Quarantine yourself.

We don't need that stuff spreading, ayite?

On a totally and completely unrelated note... I was at LAX on the 21st picking up my brother-in-law. International terminal... plenty of chinese passing by with masks on that just arrived from China.

Still no call from work, so beer it is.

Thought about calling in and asking, but thought better of it. While I could use the money always, I'd much rather be home for a day. There will be opportunities for double time Wednesday and Thursday I'm sure.

I'm hoping to buy a new truck this year, so I cant pass up too many opportunities for extra money.

2018 3F Behemoth split with the wife. Good stuff.

HHD Ram n dudes

Texted someone at work to see how it was going, she said it was worse than yesterday. Dunno why I didn't get called. Probably getting tired of paying overtime.

Just assume it was chikens or some corona infused Chinese meal with crunchy things. He could be looking for Cros, hiding his birth certificate in a new place, locked out of the house by his wife again, or hiding somewhere cause he heard Bloody was looking for him.

I worked a maintenance gig for awhile. The plant manager came down yelling about overhead and "ZERO" overtime.

Fine by us, we were working 7/12's and were tired anyway. An hour later our supervisor came down.

Overtime's back on.

We've been so short staffed we've been mandating overtime. In fact, we're going to have 17 people on training at once (just in one facility). Some training officers will have 2 trainees at once. Sergeants have not been mandated, but I take a shift here and there in order to help out and not have to force another OT day.

Once all these trainees are off training some of the OT will dry up but there will still be enough for those who want it. Sergeants will no longer be allowed OT.

Got the boy on the bus then went and washed the truck. Stopped at the grocery store, picked up a nicely marbled 3.5lb chuck and some beer.

Started the smoker and went out back to let chickens out, gather eggs, and pick up fallen tree bits. Lit the burn pit and came back to the garage. Rubbed the chuck with salt, pepper, cayenne, garlic, and paprika. Tossed it in the smoker and cracked a beer.

All by 915am. Didn't sleep much last night.

He's probably trapped holding on to the snickers bar in the vending machine again not realizing all he has to do is let go.
