Half a day of yard work may have been a bad idea, it was 116 degrees in the shade today. No matter how much water I drank, my six drops of piss looked like 10w30. I drank Gatorade and pickle juice after, but still had toe and foot cramps in the afternoon. Currently hydrating with bourbon and a cigar watching the lightning storm off in the distance.

Went to the lake today it was overcast so I floated around for a few hours. No sun protection now I'm all pink. Not really a good look for me.

Hope you get over it soon.

Although my wife and I are double boosted, we know there’s still a chance to catch it so it’s not a matter of IF, rather WHEN. Hopefully whenever it is that we catch it, the symptoms will be mild. Hopefully.

We’re all going to catch it multiple times. The daughter caught it twice already. The wife got it once after being triple vaccinated. I think this is my second time but just the first confirmed so I’ll go with first.

Wife and I just got our 4th shots just to piss off the antivaxers. We don't plan to stop traveling anytime soon but the close quarters on planes, etc sure makes great superspreaders.

Did exactly that.
Will probably have some tougher days this week. Can’t have two or three great days in a row without paying the piper.

Was on moderately good behavior the whole time. Not easy, but don’t think I caused and cringe moments.

For me, that is huge.

Good afternoon folks.

X-rays this morning (before chiro could adjust me) followed by the pool.

Swam real light and easy- mostly legs with fins and/or kickboard-. My rib fractures hurt after two laps so I stopped at five laps. I have to try to get as much limited exercise as I can. Wearing 2 lidocaine patches as a result.

Going to the hospital next to geta copy of my bone scan immaging.

Then, maybe off to the dump to get rid of some toxic waste: pain, pesticide, propane tanks, etc. If not today, then tomorrow?

Mine are prescription 5% lidocaine patches that are designed to wear up to three at a time for 12 hours. But, my doctor told me I could change them after 12 hours and then put new ones on without waiting, provided they don't damage my skin- which they haven't.

Voltaren is not verry strong. See if they will give you Lodine (etodolac). It's a much stronger NSAID. What about some Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine)?

Why are you waiting for surgery? It won't heal on its own if it's torn, just get worse.

Stained and sealed the deck this morning. Extension stick on my paint roller broke so now my back is hurting from all the bending over n stuff.

Fixed the boy's go kart this afternoon. Poorly built "cheap" pos. Short of it is the brake caliper mount is welded wrong and it pulls the sprocket/rotor hub on the axle out of alignment with the primary drive. Easiest fix is to unmount the engine and cut the mounts to weld them where they need to go. To get to the caliper mount would require cutting the back of the frame off and re welding it but I don't know that I could maintain square for the drive axle. I did niether. I shimmed the drive sprocket over as far as I dared and told him not to use the brakes as much. It slows down quickly on its own off throttle. I want to sell it and get something else like a side by side atv.

T-mius about 42 hrs from wheels up en route to Wisconsin. Two teenagers and a half blind half deaf 90+ year old brother's mother-in-law in tow. She's a hoot... it's kinda fun hanging out with old folks sometimes. They are old enough to have earned the privilege of speaking their mind without a filter.

Looking forward to the trip. Can't wait.

Spent most of the day today going to Springfield, MA to pick up my roommate's 93 yr old father. Hour to Springfield, went to brunch then hour down to Hartford, CT to get him fitted for dental implants. 3 hrs at the oral surgery place for x-rays, full exam, molds and stuff.

$50k for a full set of fake teeth. WTF? You're 93... you are going to drop $50k on a full set of implants? Whatever... it's his money not mine and I'm not in a position to judge. The guy put in his time, served in three wars in his life (WWII, Korea, Vietnam) in some form and fashion. If the guy wants new teeth and he has the money to do so, go for it.. you earned it.

Franking get them gold plated if you want.

It was a nice drive. Western part of MA is nice country (with the exception of Springfield, that city is kind of a pit).

MACS...its a different kinda heat. Florida heat is sprinkled with humidity. To those uninitiated to it, imagine just getting out of the shower...toweling off and it's like you never did. It's like that. Plus...we're not even in the hottest part of the year!

Stay hydrated!

Part of me knew this but I was unable to recall that information during the job...

I did buy a new handle for it, so coat 2 today will be a lot easier.
