Only getting up to 58 today and more rain here which means more rain for the rest of you peeps as well. Got 'em stacked up for the next week.

Howdy corey and fellow peers. Speak to the hand

As a fog usually up until 1am 🕐. Keeping Jessie the Cat company, she sleeps all day then rallies at night 🌃.

Agree DED, Tommy looked lost and indeed he did lose. Applause

Good Tuesday Afternoon! Forgot to set the alarm, but still got to get to the range and get some good target practice.

Scattered rain, it's 60°, heading to 62° today.

Because we’re anywhere from 5 to 6 hours behind Eastern Time, we get football for all three meals and your whole day can be consumed by football…but at least there’s time to unwind, enjoy a smoke, an adult beverage and go to bed at a decent hour.

That was the beauty of it. It was a pre-meeting schmoozing event, so one of the vendors footed the bill. Tweaked something in my back somewhere along the line though. I'm shuffling today like a post zombie bite fenster

Oh those karts will F you up.

If you ever get the chance to be on a racetrack in a shifter kart, take it. But it will hurt to breathe afterward.

Yessir... the 22" one. I forgot how damn big that thing is. Started with a 22" WSM years ago, then went to the 18" because I almost never used all the room in the 22" and it burns a lot of fuel for the smaller cooks I usually do. But then when I needed some room I didn't have it.

So... got the big'un again.

When we were kids we invented a game in the woods called "hawk swinging". Prepare yourself for this stupidity before reading on...

We'd find a big tree near a stout sapling. We'd climb the big tree and jump out of it... grab the sapling and hope to God it was strong enough to support our weight to the ground. Most times it was. Sometimes it was not. Sometimes it was too strong. Ahhhh, teenagers... they seem dumber nowadays and that scares me.

Big day ahead. Bonus morning shpo work to help pay the bills, abbreviated by some family medical stuff to attend to. All and all a 200+ mile day ahead.

At least it should be all completed by late afternoon, ahead of the snow.

Heard a similar thing through a drinking buddy years ago. If you are going to be Stupid, you have to be Strong.

Need to get less stupid. In my case, confidence is not high.

Mornin Ya'll... 34 with a whopping high of 41 today and 100% WET!!! Course that hasn't started yet? Herfing

Been busy as hell collecting Data and putting together a timeline on this city's zoning and council. the 16th would have been the regular monthly zoning board meeting and the members did not show up for their own meeting. the Clerk verified on Friday that the meeting was not CanX because MLKjr Day. So 6pm my wife myself and another man who'd been wronged before on his property showed up. by 6:15 the mayor showed up to see what all the Hoopla was about only to find Us waiting on the zoning board members who did not even bother to let anyone know they were not coming?
I had many questions to be answered before I present my rebuttal to the council and city in February's meeting.
The Mayor called the clerk, clerk verified meeting was to be a go. So at 6:30 I told the Mayor as he was locking up. I'm texting the Zoning board Commissioner in a group text adding the Mayor. Next Morning I get a reply back at 6:25 AM

Text to Tony and Mayor:
Hi Tony,
Russ Walls here, my wife and I along with Tom Norris were present for tonight's zoning board meeting until 6:30pm and no zoning board members had shown up for the January Monthly meeting.
I got permission at the city council meeting in first Tuesday of January when your recommendations letter was presented. To add my rebuttal as I was given a copy of your letter at the meeting.
I am needing information I planed on going over with zoning members to clarify for my rebuttal in February Council Meeting
I'm a little saddened that no one notified Mark Sumaris that the zoning board was not going to hold this meeting tonight?
Mayor Duewer showed up and called Mark to verify the meeting was not canceled?

I would like to know if/when the reschedule will be? My wife took off work early to be present for tonight's meeting. She could have worked until close 8pm.

Tony:
Sorry, we can't talk to you about this issue. You will need to take all your concerns to the City Council.
Me:
That's fine Tony. But I need you to drop off my entire package of information I'd presented to your zoning board.
My information not just your recommendation letter should have moved forward with my zoning issue.
I believe in transparent government. I'm also going to need all the boards notes on my zoning IE: questions & answers.
Thank You
Russ Walls

Tony: I dropped off everything that I had.
Me: Thank You, I'll pick it up and hand deliver at the council meeting. If it is not all there, I need the remaining from Ron Fisher. Thanks

MAYOR:
Please refer all other communication to the city council.

To be Continued!!! d'oh!

Ya'll have a Nice Day!!! Herfing

Yes, Yes they are DMV..
dating back to 2007 the zoning board along with council members off and on over the years have a track record of denying rezoning to property owners unless they are board members, council members or family members of either. the previous Mayor (My Cousin) used his influence to bend the rules. and add an addition for living quarters off the town square zoned commercial and moved in. a total violation. of the Commercial zoning Ordenes. what followed was other property owners went ahead and moved in their Light Industrial and Commercial Properties (creating a talk of the town about them getting away with it.
but through the Tax Asseroirs office I have a paper trail of evidence showing these members are capitalizing on properties coming available and purchasing them set them for rezoning to commercial or Multi-Family and then resale for Profit.
If Im not posting any longer? then somebody Whacked me!!! LOL

All I wanted was a simple rezone of my property so my wife and I can use our land for storage units as a retirement Nest Egg. I think one of these members wanted my land and thinks if I fold they'll pick it up cheap?

I'm getting old... and my wife keeps our sliding glass door very clean. Brick wall

Pop up canopy arrived. I've got my smoker set up in the corner of the yard, small area close to the house and fence... so I got a 6' x 6' "easy-up" to cover the area in case of inclement weather.

I set it up and was walking back into the house... WHAP! Right into the door that I didn't notice my wife had closed.

Not much blood... just a tiny scratch on my nose. d'oh!

Last 23+ hours of shop time was a nice reset of what a bad day is.

A 70ish year old woman was having a bad week. Her brother died earlier in the week, her car had an oil problem and her SIL was flying into town today. It was all too much activity and difficult to process. Two hours later, her engine started billowing smoke. That is a bad and expensive day.

Different dude, probably late 20s early 30s needed a ride to his office. During his transport he shared he just moved to Green Bay from Florida. Who would do that?

He, his wife and 6 month old child will be closer to his wife's family which makes her happy.
That, and they have no home left as it was on Ft. Myers Beach. Lost everything.

I'll take my low back pain and low amount of duration and quality of sleep.

Thank you God for the perspective.

Leave the blood and it'll be easier to notice next time.

It'll also help if you ever want to turn the wife in for domestic abuse

Been there, done that, though no blood. But wait, it gets worse one day you may do that from the inside also. I did. That time I fell on my azz. I swear even the dogs were laughing.
