Family coming over tonight. Almost 9 pounds of corned beef cooked in the Crockpot yesterday. Cabbage, carrots and potatoes will be cooked later this afternoon.

Currently 78F / 64% RH / 8 mph winds. Expected high of 84. Might hafta change into a tank top.

What's up BOTL?

Wife comes home tonight from visiting her brother's family. Have to pick her up at the airport in time for the chitty XFL game tonight.

Finished landscape work and fertilizing the flowers and shrubs in the front of the house.

Swam 1,000 yds. again today , but it was only like 60F and getting out of the heated water sucked. Went to grocery and then pharmacy.

I am beat.

Watching the weather. Scottsdale has 5 different flood warnings?

Hopefully DED & Spunky have water wings.

Finding a good local pizza joint is key to any area. We have like 6 pizza joints my small town (population of 20k) including the local brew pub which makes a nice pizza. Dominoes and Papa Gino's (chain pizza joints). 2 the others are pretty much the same Greek style pizza and I likely couldn't tell the difference between them in a blind taste test.

The other 2 are my top two picks. My mostest favorite in town is the wood fired, brick oven Italian pizza joint. Coming in 2nd place would be the local brew pub pizza. I like a crispy thin crust rather then a doughy crust.

We don't have any true deep dish Chicago or Detroit style places in town. Not many people are fans of that style but I wouldn't mind having the option once and a while.

Your son? If so, I feel the same way about my adult kids. Get to see them both this weekend in Detroit for my daughter's engagement party...

Yes. He's only three hours away. He's working on finding a summer internship. Wants to stay instate, but prefers to not go to a big city. Will be interesting to see where he ends the up.

The day did not go as designed, but ended up with an early dinner, an expanded dog walk in 40 degreed filtered sunshine and a homemade devil's food chocolate almond cookie.

I love lego.

The boy and I have been building the new Lego Lord of the rings Rivendell set for the past several days. It'll take about a month. The really big sets we build one stage a day. In the instruction books it'll say bag one for this step so that'll be one day. Another step will be bags 2 and 3 so we do that for the day etc. This set has 49 bags. We're on day 12 and bag 16 or 17

Spring here means spring training baseball and the sweet smell of citrus blossoms everywhere you go.

Happy Tuesday gents. The fish and visitors are getting kinda smelly though.

Costco run was expensive. Filled the gas tank at $3.099 a gallon... $50. Bought water, dog food, dog treats, watermelon, chuck roast, rotisserie chicken, cooking oil, a peanut butter chocolate cream pie... and a USDA Prime whole beef brisket. $275

Couple other things...

Dear Commiefornia... get a f'n clue. Mailed them an address change form and a statement of fact form I printed off the DMV site. The fact is... I left, my truck is registered and I am licensed in Florida. Eat a peenis.

California is notorious for this. They even go after state tax refunds.

Joke's on them... I didn't get a refund. I had to pay $136. Already stopped paying state Tax to CA as of last August.

But hey... the state of CA pays me every month for the rest of my life and can't tax it any more. They mad LOL

Damp, 34 degree day. Nice mixture of physical activity and driving. Nice 2 hour 45 minute round trip south was the most fun.

Three Equinox' needing significant repairs today.

Since her pre-school is still on Spring Break, we took our youngest granddaughter (...almost 5 years old...) to the Honolulu Zoo this morning. She was REALLY happy to be going since she'd been there before but as a toddler so doesn't remember anything. Skies were overcast so it wasn't beatdown hot but certainly humid. About 45 minutes in, she said she was starting to feel tired. Ten minutes later she asked when we were going home. Asked what else she wanted to see and she said "Giraffes" so we walked around looking for them. Found 'um, she took a quick glance and then asked if I could carry her and go home. I know moments like this will almost never come around again so picked her up and said we were going back to the car. Later she said it was the best week of her life! Tomorrow we're gonna take her to the Waikiki Aquarium so I guess the best week ever got even bester! BigGrin
