That would be fun, if it would end right. One officer said on their first taser use in the wild, one prong went into a guys chest. The other caught him in the … stick.

The wider the spread of those prongs, the more intense the pain for those 5-8 seconds. Upper back and lower leg? Wooooowheeee, that'll hurt.

Mornin' dudes.

Cooking 2 briskets today. Costco didn't have a 15 lb or bigger, so I got an 11 and a 9. Wife wanted brisket for her birthday and she's got about 8 people coming over plus her sister is here. Beef is already up on da smoker. Texas style... salt and pepper.

Was never arrested in Madison. Got detained once though.

Was leaving a friends house after picking up a 1/4 oz of weed (he had an indoor grow room). Just walking home and got about half a block before a squad car pulled up and asked me questions like where I was going, where was I coming from, show them my ID, etc... They held me there until another squad car pulled up with a witness inside to check me out.

Apparently the sub shop a few blocks away was just robbed and I matched the description of the bad guy. The eye witness said that I was not the right dude and they let me go on my (very nervous) merry way. That was the closest I've come to being busted in Madison.

Good Saturday Morning to All! It's an overcast 62° on the way to just 68° and rain today.

Second day in a row our power went failed, briefly this time, a couple of hours yesterday. Funny, I have two new battery backups I received last night, not connected yet, I was charging them first. Brick wall

You can get a ride along in your local or county PD. Just have to reach out to them and ask. They'll ask you why you want to do it, check your record, sign a waiver and you are in.

Same here. Got a lot of roof, gutter and yard work done.

Recycled aluminum dropped off. Pocketed a cool $10.40.

Highlight of the day... burned some leaves with Bucky.

Ya, speaking of getting old. I was hanging down at da beach earlier with a friend and neighbor.. we're about the same age and both of us have lived here about 25 years or so... not sure how it happened but instead of the neighborhood muscle we became grandparents.. time flies.. but the grandkids are cool.

Thanks for the hospitality. It was a nice short break away during my stay.

I was lucky enough to smoke a couple of his nice cigars, and drink a couple sodas while relaxing on 8's deck. Met his beautiful wife and his lovely dog.

One thing I learned was 8's hidden infatuation for me. He even has my name etched in stone and prominently displayed on his deck.

I don't know if I should feel honored or scared.

Thanks again Russ for the break and the great cigars.

Happy Sunday fellas!

A nice 69 going to 93. Wife and I did a loooong hike in the desert reserve and then she treated me to a laaarge stack of buckwheats at our favorite breakfast joint in old town Scottsdale.

A Chinchilla on the patio and now waiting for the start of the "Greatest Spectacle In Racing" at Indy.

Final day of the Premier League season. Two of three teams will be kicked out of the league today.

The anguish of the fans is visible and the tension is pulsing.

If American sports kicked out the bottom three teams each year, I'd follow most if not all sports.

Just finished another pool workout and looking forward felling good all day as a result.

Wife blew her back out this morning and is lying in bed after taking a muscle relaxant. Tuesday, she is having major foot surgery, so I'll still be taking care of her for 4-6 weeks because she won't be able to drive to and from work. F' me! But, what else do I really have to otherwise do besides stay home and take care of her.

Anyhow, we had a cold front yesterday and today such that it didn't quite hit 80F yesterday, and today will only be 86F with low humidity. Last night on the Vherf, Leo said I should be calling it Indian Winter. I'll go with that.

Looking forward to Game 7 of Heat v. Celtics tomorrow night. The last 3 seconds last night- were surreal in a good way. What a final play!!!

Hope you all have a great day!

Done.

I had to force a page reload to get it to change, they probably use the same name/location for each user's icon.

reminds me of a bike training course I completed with my department, back in the 90's when I was still in decent shape...we did a scenario where I was the "snatch and grab suspect" and two of my officers were bike officers chasing me in the PE area of campus...I ditched the bag and ran into the enclosed porch that was built onto two sides of the small gym...the barrier enclosing the porch was a bench wall with hedges on the outside...both guys dumped their bikes to chase me on foot...I ran around the corner of the building, went about 50 feet and then jumped over the bench wall, through a gap in the hedges and circled around the building and back...got to their bikes first and raced off on one... they shoulda split up...one following me on foot and the other on a bike...what fun!

Both the Celtics and the Heat should be ashamed of themselves for losing 3 games in a row each, especially the Heat.

If Celtics win, it will be a historical come-back from the brink of elimination for the record books- and a major black mark on the Heat.

We'll see if can one of them can even beat Denver.

Feeling somber.

Only have one more day (tomorrow) with the folks before I fly back to MA. Still a few random chores to do. Mow the lawn, do a some laundry, prep some meals that Dad can nuke while Mom is away from home at the physical rehab place (probably another week), etc... Luckily the rehab place is only a mile away so it's an easy visit but my Dad gets tired easy.

Brother, cousin, friends and neighbors will check in on Dad this week. My sister and niece and nephew will be coming from MN this weekend for a week stay.

The hardest part of visiting... is leaving.
