Very hot and sunny right now. 72% of rain today and tonight. Only 60% humidity with a bare breeze. Summer is definitely here.

Cleaned all the windows in the house yesterday with my neighborhood kid doing all the heavy liftin. Still took around five hours, even though I used to be a professional window cleaner and was in business for like 5+ hours when I was in my early to mid 20's during the 80s.

Made a good, self-employed living. Actually sold my business to a competitor when I left for law school when I was 27. This time was kind of fun actually. Old times kind of thing.. Entertaining the dream of going back into business again, but only for 2-3 single story homes per week as opposed to like 10-15 per week when i was younger. I doubt it will happen, but the idea intrigues me because I was earning approximately $30/hour.
.
Hoping wife feels well enough to go out to dinner for Fathers Day. Hate the crowds there will be tomorrow.

Looking forward to UFC tonight and maybe some vherf with 6-7 former CBid-ers. . PM me for details if you a re interested. Everyone is welcome to join in. No politics!

You should establish a cleaning franchise, hire the kid and get him to franchise others, you'ed clean up.

Worder why you would you disregard your doctor's prescription order. Have you completed medical school and training? Why even bother to call or have a doctor if you won't follow instructions?

Because doctors nowadays are paid kickbacks by pharmaceutical companies. That's why. "Do no harm" went right out the window... they're getting paid.

Why would the CDC continue to recommend the jab, considering this? Ask yourself that question. $$$$$$$$

Problem is he is only like 11-12 and I don't think it is legal to employ him for anything beyond domestic chores as opposed to a commercial enterprise until he is 14. But I'd probably be doing the work myself anyway...

True, on the other had, you can probably negotiate a more profitable cut.

Just kidding, but it's great to see young entrepreneurs developing. When we moved to Laguna Nigel, CA I hired a high school drop out to do the yard work. He started out with a lawnmower in the trunk of a beater car, when we left he had a stake bed truck, a small Bobcat and all Honda powered equipment. He was very proud to say it was all paid for with cash.

I will hire him to pass out flyers to peoples' front doors like I hired other kids back when I was in business.

HFD to all!

Kids already called me and son said he is coming home next weekend.

Daughter's wedding date is next June!

But, her future mother-in-law is intruding on the whole event planning. She has no idea of my daughter's wrath when someone mistreats her like this.

They are meeting alone for lunch this week at Hannah's insistence to discuss how Hannah wants it to all go down- exactly her own way. Hannah is going to tell her they do not want the money she offered to give them as a wedding gift because it has strings attached. I would just love to be a fly on the wall when they meet.

Anyhow, Hannah and her fiancé are moving back to Boca Raton in September, so that will further cut the future mother in law out of the way.

Went for fresh, real bagels (not Einstein's) from a real bagel shop this morning.

Zero planned for the rest of the day, just as I want things.

Welcome back to Monday fellas

Already trimmer mowed half the ditch. Taking a break for my back or the day is over. Got two trees to trim with my pole saw, and need to spray about 20 gallons of roundup out in the woods.

We’ll take one item off the agenda and add one in its place.

So I bought a GoPro Mini to record fishing trips among other activities. Within an hour of ordering I came to my senses and realized I no more needed to spend $350 on a mountable camera than I needed another hole in my head so I called to cancel. Well, that ain’t happening. Somehow in the previous hour that had managed to pull my order, package it, put a shipping label on the package and put it in the bin to go out. Yea right. RED FLAG #1.

So I decided that I’d just RMA the item when I received it. It arrived 4 days ago and the box has been collecting dust on the counter since. I decided what the hell, I’ve already paid for it. So maybe I’ll keep it. I mean I’ve already allocated the funds so no big deal.

Even though I’ve had this nagging suspicion in the back of my mind that I really didn’t want this thing I unboxed it to set it up.There is absolutely ZERO printed instructions. None. Ziltch. Nadda. Nothing. The only instruction are a card with rudimentary icons of the device with arrows pointing here and there. RED FLAG #2

Well I vowed to endeavor to persevere. The first icon was one of those label thingys that you use your camera to take you to a web site. So I did that and it sent me to the App Store to download the GoPro App which I did. The first thing you do when opening the app is register a subscription which I had purchased at a discount when I purchased the GoPro. Well that didn’t work and I managed to lock myself out of my subscription. I hit the button to send an email to unlock my account and reset my password. Then I waited about 10 minutes. No email. RED FLAG #3

No problem right. Just a quick call to tech support should solve this. Well I’m told by the person at the overseas call center that it will be tomorrow before I receive a new link. I’m like you’ve got to be freakin kidding me. I just spent $350 on this camera and subscription and I have to wait 24 to get a link to unlock an account that I haven’t even used so I can set this thing up. No freakin way. I’m like surely this can be escalated and taken care of in a more timely period. NOPE can’t be done.

No problem. Like I said I’ve had this nagging feeling that I really didn’t need this anyway. So she told me how to go online and request an RMA. So I repackaged everything, tapped the box shut and attached the RMA label. Off to the UPS store I go.

Afternoon people...

Off to a late lunch/early dinner with the kiddo and then return to gas up the truck and pack everything. Heading East tomorrow.

10 days was good. Enough time for visiting, fishing and tomfoolery... now I'm ready to go back home.
