Beautiful day.Got post-remodel cleaning crew here today. So much dust all over the house that two pros expect to be here for 6-7 hours. Gonna watch Michigan and slices of the other top 6 rated teams. Waiting on cigars to arrive with the mail.
Hope to get to swim later this afternoon,if they are done cleaning in time or wife will be home while they are here.
In the meantime, actually got my wife to go to home depot for me to buy a part for my wet/dray vac while I am sitting on my ass in my recliner, getting ready to watch football!

According to Monty Python, a European Swallow cannot carry a coconut but an African Swallow can. Then again and African Swallow is nonmigratory.

(Sorry, chilling out and watching The Holy Grail)

Boys go kart project ongoing. 3 trips to menards so far.

Got the pillow blocks bolted in and centered. Working on alignments before the welder gets turned on. Done this too many times I want this to be the last.

I can recite the entire script for that movie.

Why my brain chose to dedicate space to that and not remembering anything on the grocery list I don't know.

I can relate with the memory thingy. An elder friend of mine remembers clearly names and episodes when he was young and when he was in the Army in Germany during the Cold War but has trouble with remembering what he did last Thursday. $hit I don't remember details of last Thursday. I t think I'm getting old...

On another note, trying to roll over a 401(k) from a past job was painful. I'm not a fan of Merrill Lynch. They suck. Not a lot of money but just wanted to roll it over to my IRA at Fidelity, Took me an hour on the phone to get it closed.

Time for a nap. I think tacos for lunch tomorrow is a good pick, then some chicken for dinner. Gotta eat up some stuff to make room in the fridge for the upcoming Thanksgiving fest and leftovers

They are not bad, if you have a Wife Saver nearby try theirs. I used to bring them to bicycle club meeting, they turned ordinary humans into two legged piranhas.

Did the final removal of leaves from the yard- for the third time.
Took wife out for lunch and went to a German themed Christmas thingy downtown.
Chat with a great friend.
Cigar, maybe a drink and college football the rest of the way.

Some balls are held for charity
And some for fancy dress
But when they're held for pleasure
They're the balls that I like best

Go kart lives!

My fears of the gearing seem to have been unfounded because the top speed actually went down to 17 from 19 so I was pretty close on accident. My math said new top would be 28.

Boy is very happy. I'm happy I finally saw the solution. Wish I thought of it 6 months ago.

Day 3 of assembling a 14x16 shed. Day 1 was last weekend, got the frame built, and did the pre-assembly of the beams etc, and then realized they sent us damaged parts.

Took a week to get the new panels in... Yesterday we got half the walls up. Hoping to finish that today and then start on the roof.

It never ends here. We went from mowing and growing, to doing all the stuff we put off bc we were too busy mowing and growing.

My brother is making the long drive up here to deer hunt this week too.

Been making the coffee strong..........................

Did tacos for lunch. Son at 6 of them.

No leftovers left.

Sad

Don't feel like cooking tonight, maybe order a pizza or Chinese food. Prolly Chinese, I love me some hot and sour soup.

Need to thaw out and eat some stuff in the freezer to eat for lunches this short week in order to make room for potential leftovers from Thanksgiving anyway. Prolly thaw our some lasagna and some chicken soup.

I'll have to look up a recipe to make some turkey soup. I haven't made a batch of that for years.
