Finally got all new leather furniture delivered today for the living room. We ordered it all 7 months ago and had to be made and shipped from Italy. Wife was worried that the new stuff would arrive before we got rid of all the old furniture so she gave it to a charity who came and took it away over a month ago so we have been sitting on pillows. d'oh!

406

Area code 406 is the telephone area code in the North American Numbering Plan for the entire U.S. state of Montana. It has been Montana's only area code since the American Telephone and Telegraph Company created a nationwide telephone numbering plan in 1947.

That tenski place was tempting me hard. I filled my cart several times over but kept ditching it telling myself I don't need to buy cigars. I've gone all year without buying any.

I bought some.

Did show some restraint though, if I got everything I wanted it was $800. I whittled it down to 250.

Buying cigars just in time for my nicotine free month. Brick wall

Blowed and mowed the leaves twice today. Trees are looking pretty bare, should be about the last of it.

The last of the Thanksgiving dinner has been purchased so I think I'm good to go unless I missed something. $hit I need to get a pie or two. I'm a fan of cherry pie. I'll have to get one of those.

Talked with my Mom (I like to check in with Mom and Dad every couple of days to see how they are doing). She makes a bunch of loaves of bread for the season to give away to folks like neighbors, friends, family, church baking events and stuff. When I say a bunch of loaves, a couple of a dozen of each. She likes cooking and baking. They are family recipes of various versions of cranberry bread, zucchini bread, banana bread... The recipes have been handed down for 3 generations.

She says 4 loaves of old fashioned seasonal breads should be here by Tues. As I type, she's probably already planning on what to make for Christmas cookies. That's another project that she loves to do. Prolly could feed a small army with the amount of cookies and stuff she cooks for Christmas snacks.

If anyone want's to stop in for Thanksgiving food at my place, the doors will be open and there will be a seat for you at the table.

This was taught to me by my elders for Thanksgiving cooking:
1) Always add an open seat at the table. Why? In case someone knocks on your door and is looking for a warm place and a full belly. Always have a seat for them and try to help them.
2) Cook more stuff than expected number of people coming over. For example even if you only have 4 people confirmed for Thanksgiving dinner, prepare for more than that - cook for 6 maybe 8 (see rule #1).
3) Gotta have leftovers. Every person eating must take home some leftovers.

Stayed in bed until after 6:30. Slept reasonably well.

Dog walk postponed due to rain. I can hear him eating, so momma must have fed him. I usually do not until the walk is over... but I guess it's time since we are doing it later.

Chewing on protein bars and beginning the consumption of the daily 64 ounces of water. Still isn’t an easy habit to get into. It is 60 ounces more than I drank the prior half century plus. Water flavoring help.

Need to get the mileage going as well. Got to kick my lazy self into gear.

Got the dog walk done. Ate some yogurt with almods and walnuts.

I've always drank plenty of water. Get 64-80 oz every day. 4-5 bottles of it... sometimes more if it's hot and I am outside. Got a hydroflask to keep it cold for me.

Blow n mow for just an hour this morning. Leaf fall rate has definitely slowed. Blew the stuff away from the house and obstacles did a couple laps in front and then did the woods. Theres just a handful of trees with leaves left.

Been working on the boys go kart again. I've spent far too much time trying to redo the factory setup. The factory engine mount doubles as the brace for the idler shaft mounts and the jackshaft for the transmission. I rewelded that a couple times but it's just a poor design. But I can't completely re-engineer the mount setup without also replacing the non-standard sized axle and all the things that go with that because I would need to change the gearing if I eliminated the two jackshafts that work as torque multipliers. I bought a standalone CVT tranny to bolt onto the engine. The jackshaft torque multiplier is getting dual pillow block bearings. Waiting on Amazon to deliver a rivnut kit so I can install that and start welding things back together. Gearing will be way too tall but I'm hoping the engine has enough power to deal with it and the kid ain't gonna complain about the new 35mph top speed with this gearing.

Might get it done in time to put stabil in the tank and park it for the winter.

I get a kick out of printed engrish on china sourced tools. They've gotten better over the years at least I can decipher the intention.

Finally got my rivnut tool. Not name brand, I got the chinesium rivet nut tool. Open the package and the box says "screw nut gun" open up the screw nut gun packaging and the inner box says "professional screw nut gun" Open the inner clamshell to get the actual tool and the name inside is "rivet nut tool"

Adding a random no content post unless you can decipher the content below written in invincible ink:

So, in summary of that long winded post, that's my calculations and theory on the 4th dimension. To date, I have not seen anything that disputes it. In fact, based on the published findings related to it, they support the theory. We are awaiting for some data that should prove the theory but that information will not be available until the eclipse of Titan, one of Saturn's moons, sometime in the year of 2085. After that is proven, we will party like it's 1999

Mornin' dudes.

Coffeed up. I see quite a bit of recliner time and college football on the upcoming list of things to do today.

After the walk, of course. I'm already getting the "I gotta poop" look.

Badgers vs Cornhuskers tonight. Where do they come up with these names?

Cornhusker, Buckeye, Gamecocks... I wonder if there is a college team named the OBGYN's?

(Nothing against OBGYNs but I wouldn't name a sports team after them)

Any sports team should never have "choke" in their name. It's just bad juju.
