so is that Jesus talking thru you Mr. Christian man? Looking for a fight today? Okay, how about this:

Jesus went to John the Baptist, got really stoned on some killer weed, sat in the desert for 3 days and tripped balls, then came back telling us all to do the same thing. Since John performed an anointment on Jesus that only Kings and Priests were allowed to have done, they cut off his head, called Christ the "Anointed One, King of the Jews" and killed him.

There's your Bible story for the day. How Jesus got high on Kaneh Bosm, and turned into a hippie.

Jesus LOVED the shrooms. You love the booze.

Now, toss some scripture at me (written of course by the same government that killed anyone that followed Christ's teachings), and feel better about yourself, okay?

Muffled crowd/mob noise. They tooker jobs!

Yes, because it takes an "expert" to understand the Constitution and Bill of Rights.

LOL!

No wonder you're a fence-sitter by nature. You need an "expert" to provide all of your opinions...

Yes, because only lawyers and judges should be allowed to read and discuss the Constitution.

The rest of us, notsomuch. It wasn't written for the "common folk."

Heaven forbid if average people started reading and reflecting on things like the Constitution. Their eyeballs might burn in the sockets.

I love not having a job. It's clear blue, about 65 degrees out, and I've got a big fat J on the table I'm about to spark up and enjoy whilst watching the Doug Firs grow. Tonight I'll go watch some youngsters spin fire out at the park, jam to a bit of dubstep, take in a bluegrass show, and probably end up having a three way with a couple of hula hoop girls. Damn I love the Pacific Northwest and being retired. Go West said Moses. Okay said Mr. Leary.

I think you misread what I said above. I was saying what I understood the issue to be and that it was different than the Indonesian issue the experts on this thread were identifying. By saying it compounded things (added to the issue as I saw it thus making it worse). I didn't say the experts in here shouldn't have an opinion. I love it. Comprehension and context is difficult for you. It gets in they way of your desire to argue just to argue.

But I do think judges and lawyers just get in the way of those of us who have a firm grip on the law of the land. If we say it then it is so. Simple.

I do wish more would educate themselves on the subject. Not sure who you are arguing with on this point.

No, the issue is your condescension for others, and your love for all things expert-ee. Someone can find an expert that says one thing, and another can find one to the contrary. Just because they have advanced degrees, are are the chair of some school of Constitutional law does not mean that they are correct in their interpretation of the Constitution. In fact, someone with a high school degree, and a functioning knowledge of the Federalist Papers could be correct while the accepted experts are wrong.

Experts are the people who are proven more right than wrong over the long term.

Anyone who has done a cursory read of the history of the naturalization clause knows that the whole point regarding the naturalized birth of a president is such that they have no ties to other countries - there is no hereditary or cultural tie and/or allegiance to a foreign nation. Their first priority is to the United States of America. Mainly because the President is the guy who essentially controls the guys with the treaties and guns: military, diplomats, and law enforcement.

A president with dual citizenship, or one who has revoked his citizenship at any time violates this very basic principle.

Not all that hard to figure out. Doesn't require a lot of legalese.

(Plus, it also gives me an opportunity to jump in and annoy you...which is always fun.)

Actually, Montana is not considered part of the Pacific Northwest.

It's not my fault that the Ted Kaczynski dream isn't all you'd thought it would be.

Hey, I was wondering if anyone has seen the birth certificate yet? I heard he paid over a million dollars to keep it a secret. Also, I have pictures of him eating babies. Really. Honest to good, tender and young babies. But, he only likes the white babies - the brown ones taste off-color......

Good grief.....aren't we passed this yet. It's too late at this point. If we haven't seen it yet then we probably won't be seeing anytime soon......horse

Not just him - all the other yahoo's as well. It seems the networks look for the craziest left and right folks, give them a contract, and turn them loose on the air. Most every one of them should be in mental hospital (from both sides).

For the record, I'm sure it's pretty easy to get Sarah Palin's graduation certificate.......fog

Don't be so sure about that. Whatever she provides a group of idiots will demand it in some other form. In the words of a great philosopher:

It's all about the game, and how you play it
All about control, and if you can take it
All about your debt, and if you can pay it
It's all about pain, and who's gonna make it

Probably ... not that it matters ... the comment was a lame attempt at humor on the part of the very UNfunny comedian Bill Maher turned political pundit who was attempting to deflect attention aimed at one of his idols, Barry Obama (nee Soetoro). His obvious implication is that she's not all that bright.

Fact is, there is no constitutional requirement for a presidential candidate to be a high school graduate. There IS, on the other hand, a requirement for natural-born citizenship ... which Obama apparently cannot document. The so-called Hawaiian document is only a certificate of live birth, something that cannot be used to secure a US passport. More to the point, when Obama was a student at Occidental college (from which release of his transcripts has been blocked). There, when he made successful application for financial aid and was given a fellowship for foreign students from the Fulbright Foundation. To qualify for that fellowship, he claimed Indonesian citizenship.

For the record, I don't believe Palin is qualified to be president. That said, the sad fact of the matter is that she is more qualified than Obama is.

really? I used a "Certificate of Live Birth" issued from Calif. to obtain my passport. I used the same certificate to obtain a Visa to travel to China. I used the same certificate to prove my US Citizenship to Home Land Security and the US Dept. of State in apply for an immigration US Visa for my children. I used the same certificate to obtain US Citizenship for my internationally adopted children. If a "Certificate of Live Birth" is accepted by the US Dept. of State, USCIS, and Homeland Security, why would it not be sufficient to show Birthright Citizenship for the president?

I have seen Obama's Certificate of Live Birth as posted on the internet. It looks a lot like mine, other than the info. of course. So why is mine good enough, and his is not?

(and no, I am not a Dem. I did not vote for Obama. I wish he had not been elected. BUT HE IS THE PRESIDENT!)

I guess my next question would be, if yours is good enough for a passport et al and his is good enough to establish qualification, why was MrsS cert of live birth not good enough for her to obtain a passport ... hers, although not issued by CA or HI, also looked a lot like his (and apparently, yours) ... we were told those were little more than birth announcements and that a certified copy bearing the state seal was going to be necessary and it we had to jump through hoops to get it inasmuch as we live in CA and had to send long distance for it ...

^ Good question because mine has worked for all of the above as well. Could have more to do with the seal etc. A copy of the original will not work without the raised seal (old school) or the multicolor seal (new school). His has the seal and it sounds like mrs s' didn't. The solution is get the exact same copy but the certified version like his. my cert of live birth is almost an exact match in format and works just fine. My guess is the big o used his just fine for said purposes prior to being elected.

I also have state provided copies of the exact same form without the seal (I didn't pay yo have them certified). They are basically useless for anything other than baby books etc.

Mine has the raised state seal. Without the seal, it is just a photo copy and not an official document. It must be a certified copy with raised seal. The raised seals do not copy/scan well at all. If you read some of the reports by those who claim to have actually seen the President's certificate, they have stated that the seal is there, but did not scan well. I know from my experience in dealing with courts, they will generally run chalk or graphite over the raised seal prior to coping so that the raised seal becomes visible in the scanning/coping process. Otherwise the scanned image or copy will not show the seal.

Here is a link to a copy that includes High Res blowups of the raised seal.
