I offered a few sarcastic statements for conversation. Not once did I say they where my beliefs. In fact I did say explicitly they weren't my beliefs. I also said that I found one lightning strike to be ironic, and hope they find the arsonist(s).
Want to really get your knickers in a bind? How about "you reap what you sow'?
... umm... I'm pretty sure "predominantly black churches" has been a thing in the south for a long time. I think it started with them not being allowed to go to the "white churches" (which we white people called "church")... but I could be wrong. Since there's a history of burning black churches, I'd have to assume the definition of "black churches" is accepted. At least by anyone that's going to burn them down.
As for semantics. When one states, "karma is a bitch" one is implicitly stating that they believe in karma, and explicitly stating that they believe said karma to be a "bitch".
