DED END prize report.

Deadeyedick sure knows how to make a fella happy! (...in a CBid way...) His DED END 2017 OpFTH CAT prize arrived yesterday and it done destroyed my chair! I was in a meeting so when it arrived, our Admin chose to put the seemingly unoffending box on my chair, not realizing that the contents were blazingly HOT!. Although the box remained perfectly intact, my chair melted to the floor. Boss man was not too pleased...but heck, I was due for a new one anyway. Gonz

After clearing out the smoke and picking up the pieces after they cooled down, inside said HOT box were the following Arizona goodies:

Sphinx Date Company's Palm & Pantry Medjool Date Gift Tray
Sphinx Date Company Prickly Pear Cactus Jelly jar
Arizona Gunslinger Jalapeño Pepper Sauce - "Smokin' Hot"
Glass encased scorpion paperweight

Some liquid in the form of a great beer also made the journey (...should have had a "Break in case of emergency" label...):

Firestone Walker 2017 Parabola Imperial Stout - luckily it didn't boil and burst so gonna let this nap for at least a couple of years

And to top if off, a 5er of some very well aged seegars:
4 each A. Fuente Anejo No. 77 "Shark" - for sure they'll be ashed up for special events
1 each Tatuaje Anarchy - from the very yellow cello, gotta conclude that this is the OR from 2011! I am drooling like a toothless baby to spark this up!! Drool

Rick, thanks again for a GREAT prize! I hope one day to meet you at one the RMCF events.

Holy Cow, RMAN4443!!!

There's nothing floppy about the NH Cow Flop that landed in the mailbox. There was a whole lot of tasty goodies, all produced in the busy state of New Hampshire: a small jug of maple syrup by Fuller's Sugar House, 2 Mountain Man bbq Beef Sticks, a chunk of Mountain Man Hickory Smoked Pepperoni, a package of Spicy Coffee Rub by Rub Me Tender (interesting recipe for grilled salmon on the package), and a bag of peppery Fiesty Hot Pretzels by Port City Pretzels...nom nom nom...

RMAN thoughtfully put in a box of matches (take that CI!!!)and a local goods guide, which describes who is making homegrown stuff in the state, where they are, and a schedule of events. I'm gonna have to make my way across country one of these days to visit that great state and the brother who sent the package...

Rick also sent me a nice selection of cigars: two faves - Ave Maria solomon and Oliva V Melanio; and two nh - Nat Sherman Maduro Castro's exclusive and Undercrown Shade.

Thank you very much Rick, for the nice prize, and for supporting the troops!

Itsawaldo's "Waldo's Winnings" prize arrived safe and sound today.

Five "NH's" and a J-21

Tatuaje J-21
Tatuaje Verocu No. 5
Curivari Buena Ventura BV 500
San Cristobal De La Habana - El Principe
La Imperiosa Magicos

and a

Pedro Pearl (in a seriously yellowed cello)
Will have to ask Ray (knkmdwn) about this one.

Very nice high end selection, Chris.
I'm really looking forward to smoking all the NH's, AND the J-21 too, of course.
Thanks for the prize, but MOST OF ALL . . . Thanks for your support of our troops !

jespear's spearprize arrived Thursday............Holy Moly!!!!!! I'll need a little time to fix the porch and list this up.
Thank you John...........I want to add that John added a cd by Sonia DaDa from 1992, I love this band! Never heard of them before, but they are great!
Give these guys a listen.........I can't believe this band is almost unknown around NH......I went looking to get more cds by them, and none of my local music stores carry them......most had never heard of them, had to look them up in the catalogs. The only way to get them is to order them, and some you can't even order. Anyway, look them up on youtube and give them a listen.

https://youtu.be/qRMZ2i3TmjQ

"Jungle Song" one of my new favorites done live........I can't say enough good things.......Thanks for this disc JohnBeer

OpTH Spearprize---From jespear

First, a very nice Thank You note from John for supporting OpTH

Ave Maria Special Edition Sampler
The Ave Maria 8-Cigar Sampler brings you one of each vitola in their line
1- Ark of the Covenant 4 1/2 x 60
1- Barbarossa 7 x 48
1- Charlemagne 7 1/2 x 54
1- Clermont 5 1/2 x 45
1- Crusader 5 x 52
1- Knights Templar 6 x 48
1- Lionheart - Box Press 5 1/2 x 55
1- St. George - Belicoso 6 x 54

Ashton VSG Belicoso(5.2 x 52)
2 A.F. Flor Fina 8-5-8 SG Corona(6x47)
A.F. Rosado Gran Reserva SG R58(5.25x58)
A.F. Anejo Reserva Xtra Viejo #46(5-5/8x46)
2 Latitude Zero Torpedo(6.5x52)
CubanCrafters Cupido Tuxedo Torp.(6x52)
LaPerla Hab. Blk. Pearl Morado Beli.(6.2x52)
LFD Coronado Corona Espec. Nat. (5 7/8" x 47)
2 Bolivar Royal Coronas Robusto(4.8x49) cc packaged in a 2 finger leather cigar holder

White Owl Grape Petite Corona(4.75x41) in an LFD Oro Tube Labeled--"A special treat just because your a Patriots Fan!".......I'm pretty sure that's code for "Your pretty cool and are a fan of the best team in the NFL"........I may be wrong(but I don't think so).....either way the cigar is very "grapey" and smells pretty good.

All of the cigars above are never hads, so I'm looking forward to every one(well, maybe not every one LoL)

And then as if that wasn't enough, the packaging materials in the box included-

Punch Cigars (magnetic) Bottle Opener......it wasn't magnetic but it is now, and stuck right on the door of the "Beer Fridge"

A Stella Artois Beer Foam Shaver........already been repurposed to a "MilkBone Crusher".......for some reason my dog likes them broken into small pcs. and the foam shaver is heavier and does a much better job than a butter knife

A deck of CI logo playing cards

2 boxes of Tastykake Krimpets sponge cakes.......one box Butterscotch Krimpets(had one, it went well with coffee).......one box Jelly Krimpets

A Xicar EX butane lighter.......very nice and heavy

A Gurkha Special Ops knife in sheath.......nice heavy knife with spring assisted blade

and last but definitely not least .........A cd from the band Sonia DaDa, whom(?) I had never heard of. Well, it turns out I love the cd, and so far everything else I have heard from this band. When I first put the cd in I liked the first tune, and it just kept getting better from there. It's one of those rare albums that is great from start to finish. Ok, sorry about the gushing, but if you've never heard them go to youtube and give them a listen.........some people may not love it but I think a lot of you will like it. At the very least it will be an ear opening moment.

So that's the damages......side entry door and stairs in ruins..........John, I don't even know how to respond..........THANK YOU!!! for also supporting OpTH......I would have supported the troops no matter..........I really wasn't expecting anything like this.

John, Thank You for the "very" generous "Spearprize" and know that every time someone asks me where I heard about Sonia DaDa, that my response will be "From my friend John(jespear) on C-Bid.........he's a pretty good guy, even if he is an Eagles fan" LoL

Rick
