True story
But every dealer carries certain brands, and you'd have to visit a bunch (and deal with salespeople pushing you to apply for financing while window shopping) to see a sampling of everything.
The dealers really are just finance companies that use RVs as collateral. I've not heard of any having stellar service departments, and they will not go to bat for the customer on a warranty issue for fear of losing the contract with manufacturer for pushing back crap products (they're all crap)
RV shows are fun to do in the winter, wander through a bunch of campers from a bunch of manufacturers and you can blow off sales staff a LOT easier. Some of the smaller shows have really pushy sales dudes that you literally have to tell them to F off to get them to stop hounding you. But the big Chicago show doesn't have that issue, and the dealers bring stuff worth looking at, not just their leftovers and slow selling models.
