UNLESS...and IMO this is a real possibility...Trump drops out. I don't think he ever expected to win, honestly. And I'm sure being a billionaire is a lot more fun than being president. So I really do think it is possible that Trump will decide not to run.
He’s an ego maniac. For the most part the US President is the most powerful person on this planet. No way he’s going to give that up. Besides he’s very committed to his legacy.
As far as Bernie beating him in 2016, no way. He’s one dimensional. He hadn’t captured a consensus of Democratic voters. He can fool the millennials, but GenX and the baby boomers understand what socialism did to Venezuela. Only what 20 years ago it was the most prosperous South American nation. Now it’s one of the poorest.
I still can’t figure out why anyone believes socialism will work. It has NEVER worked. It’s simply a means for lazy people to have others pay for what they should earn themselves.
