last minute scratch...had stuff on the counter getting ready to slice and dice when the Assisted Living Center called and reported that my sister had taken a fall, and was bleeding severely from a laceration on the top/front of her head.
They said EMT are on scene and will transport her to nearest Emergency Ward. She seemed alert and conscious...when I caught up w her at the hospital, said she bent over to sweep up some dust and went head first into the leg of the table and the wall/baseboard. There was a lemon sized knot on her forehead above her left eye and a deep 1.5" - 2" laceration on the top of her head. Four hours later, CT scan was negative and a doctor had sutured her up. Took her home...
On our way home, my wife said she was hungry, and didn't want to wait the hour to hour and half until I cooked up the fried rice and grilled up the chicken, so we stopped at the Border for crunchy tacos and burrito supreme...
