82148 Aladino corojo 2020 with thanks to Palama. I'm late shift but woke up at 5, so I went digging for a good cigar before work. This is a good cigar. Nubbed that fugger. Time to go to work.

^I’ve wondered about that Aladino brand but never pulled the trigger. I’m trying to lay off new purchases for a while anyway. I’ll keep those in mind.

82149: AJ Fernandez Rosa de Guadalupe Robusto (5.0"x56)
I never would have guessed that this is MSA wrapper. It’s not terribly dark but the sweetness was there throughout. My first time on this blend.

82151 -- Warped Flor del Valle lancero...thin ring gauge concentrated the flavors too much...couldn't take a full puff and the ending was not happy...

the romusto size (5.62 x 48) is 8 mm thicker but the flavor suits my palate better...I'd get more of those but not the lancero, and I usually like lanceros...

@ jeebs the aladino Corojo are fantastic. Haven’t had the triple maduro but I will eventually. The lancero I smoked last night was good but I won’t buy more. The Corojo is fantastic though.

82166 Espinosa Habano with thanks to jeebling.

First light, spicy peppers, wood, astringency. Continues with typical habano notes of the same. Dry texture, little to no sweetness, short finish. I should like them, there's a lot of similarities to the corojos I love, but there's something about habanos I just can't enjoy them.

I really did not like this one at all. It's a decent dry habano, true to style, but my least favorite style. Smoked to halfway without anything i enjoyed so i tossed it. He sent 2 of these, I'm bypassing the second and moving onto the next one in line.

edit: nope next in line is Ezra Zion x 2, and I want to give those a fair go since I've talked chit about them being just another caldwell lost n found type brand without ever trying them. Don't want to have my first immediately after a cigar I didn't like. So I'll move onto the one after those - Greycliff.

82167 Greycliff G2 yellow band. Looks like a CT shade. I've had the $2 cbid greycliffs, so I'm apprehensive about this one. Their reputation for me is on par with Gurkha.

First light mild CT shade notes. Little pepper, little grassy, little papery, slightly sweet kinda toasted marshmallow/burnt sugar.

That all kinda left after the first inch. There's nothing there. This is a bad cigar. I've had worse, at least this was mostly nothing.

82168 LA Palina KB part two. Tried a part one recently and didn't like it much, I think pt 2 is just a longer pt 1 but I'm on a roll so I thought I'd grab another potential disappointment.

First light got the weird necco wafer black licorice flavor. Retro is really harsh like habanero juice in my sinuses. Same experience as pt1. Progresses to a sharp spiciness and then settles down. Still very in your face type, nothing mellow here. Little metallic feeling on the sides of my tongue, very spicy cigar. The anise left after first ash drop. It's astringent too.

Decent cigar, but I only went to halfway. Construction was perfect but it's one of those cigars that's strong for the sake of being strong as it's primary attribute. Needs some balance. Glad those are over.

Tried lighting a Warped La Hacienda but the lack of QC over at the Aganorsa Leaf factory once again shows up to stop those plans. I'm just going to bed.

Dang. The small place was running a 24 hr sale on this brand a few days ago and I almost got some. The only ones they have are platinum tubos. I think that’s the name. And they are pricey so I chickened out. Besides I need to draw down my storage a bit. I’ve got everything over full w/o much breathing room. Gotta get my FOMO under control.

^sorry the box had so many duds in it, danm. At least there were some you haven’t tried and a couple keepers.

82169: Nica Libre by Oliva BP Robusto (5.0"x50)
Sweet, earthy, oaky, very light hits of dark cocoa and dried cherry. I like this one pretty good at CB prices.

Whittling down a 2013 box but they may be a bit past their prime.

Edit: I was wrong. Lotta life left. Will definitely smoke the remaining seegars sooner rather than later.
