One thing you should know about the Joya de Honduras is that they are, at a minimum, aged four years. They were rolled at the old Consolidated Cigar Co.’s factory, Tabacos San Andrés S.A. de C.V., which shut down in June, 2000, after Altadis S.A. began consolidating its operations in Honduras.
My box arrived moments ago, and the cigars look terrific. They are very firm and appear to be beautifully rolled. I'll know later if these are Sumatra wrappers, as the copy reads, or the notorious TBN. In terms of color, they are significantly darker than Java wrappers.
I bought these, hoping for a creamy mild morning smoke. We'll see... But, you know, for less than a buck a stick, it's pretty difficult to be disappointed.
