cmuzz --- I don't know where you've been ...

... but there has been a ton of threads and posts on the draw problems of the Cohiba, and many of the other Cuban cigars ...

Had about 2-3 in 25 do the same, but not as bad as some Bucs i have smoked. Its just luck of the draw. PUN INTENDED!

I've only had one cohiba that gave me trouble drawing on it, and I've smoked a ton of 'em. Say all you want about cubans slim... they are the best damn thing going imho. More for me!

I just picked up 5 of those babies on a group buy. I'm gonna let them sit a while before I try one out. I hope it isn't plugged. Out of all the cubans that I have bought personally, I haven't had any draw problems whatsoever.

Keep em at about 60-62% humidity for about a month and see if that helps. X

What X said, basically. I keep them at 60 - 65 degrees for about 6-8 months and haven't really had any problems at all. However, they MUST age and they MUST be stored at lower humidity.........Just my thoughts...........

Must be a bad batch. I got some isom for my bro-in-law 7 years ago. He still has a handful left. He swears it's his best stash. Bet it would take a huge trade to get one.

MACS, if I go to the Metropolitan Grill and get a $50 steak, I want it to be twice as good as the same cut from Jak's Grill that costs $20.

Here in Seattle, a Cohiba from Canada is a $20+ cigar and I think it should be TWICE as good as a $10+ stick (like a PAM?!?). Cost factors in when judging cigars and I suspect that you pay WAY less than $20 for your ISOM's. We, who buy in the US, are not so fortunate.

Something for everyone to consider.

Thread jack off.

i had a box of them from an isom because they used to be great. after a year in the humidor, they did not improve. stick a knitting needle down the center, it will help a little.

Kazama... I am in the USA. I can get these for $11 a stick. Mostly because I travel, but there are ways to get them for the right price, even here, ya just gotta be resourceful. 🙂

Not to threadjack..........but has anyone tried that DrawPoker? Been kinda eying it but don't know if it's a gimmick or not. If it does what it purports to do, one cigar, especially an ISOM, that it makes smokable (when it otherwise wouldn't be) would make it worth the price.
