If it were time to exercise your rights as an American, who would you vote for?

I'd welcome back GWB in a HEARTBEAT!

I'm sorry but I refuse to let the fact we have a piss poor President today erase the fact that we just suffered through 8 years or the worst, most wreckless President in modern Presidential histoty.

I voted for GWB once, and had a party to celebrate the Supreme's decision. It was a mistake based primarily on the fact that I am a Republican and Al Gore is wacked out and may very well have done a worse job than Bush (we'll never know, but it's probably a safe bet).

Bush sucks butt big and bad. Having a poor President this time doesn't change that. Bush is a dolt and while politically we do not want to admit this we will be dealing with his mistakes and recklessness for decades and maybe generations to come.

Hopefully the Republicans will learn from their mistake (Bush) and run someone who will attempt to fix the things Bush did and Obama is continuing or making worse.

About the only person the Republicans could run that would make me vote for the Big O is GW "history will condem me" B.

Nadar and not voting are not options to me.

By the way since the political spin is the Big O needs to own things now and quit blaming the past emeffer does Bush's tour and the professed love for him change that at all?

Gotta fly. Have fun with this =d>

I watched several interviews of Pres Bush over the past 2 days, and I was impressed by his sincerety and convictions as to doing what was right for the country. He may not have been perfect, but he's far superior to the clown that is now in office. BHO was elected by 70M uninformed voters, who had no idea what "change" actually meant. Now, the genie is out of the bottle, and it will be difficult to unravel his most destructive initiatives, even with Republican control of the House of Representatives.

I saw the interviews too and at least he was honest in his replies.

At least he shoots from the hip, unlike Captain teleprompter

His interviews made me remember just how repulsive he is and how little I respect him as a man. The Hannity one was my particular favorite LOL. He is still trying to make the WMD argument albiet in a new form (about the 27th different attempt to morph it when facts kill the argument)

Your love fest is nice but this man effed this country up the butt.

By the way its not a mutually exclusive requirement to love bush and hate obama or vice versa.

Bush effed the country up the butt. Obama is still touching and lubing preparing to do so. Give him time and he may.

We have made some poor choices in the last few cycles. Making a poor choice in the most recent one (Obama) does not negate the epic fail previous to it (Bush).

Sooo....TW you voted for Obama on this poll?

On this poll yes I did.

I would vote for most anyone other than GWB. It really is hard to fathom anyone doing more damage than him. Obama sucks but to date he has not done as much harm to this country as Bush.

Sure the folks that have loved the scent of Bush's bunghole all along will disagree as well as those who have hated the Kenyan, Muslim guy. But frankly Obama has not had time to eff things up as much as bush. If we give him time he may.

But this poll is not reality.

My bigger concern is what happens from here, not looking backwards. I sure hope the Rs don't eff up their momentum. The midterm gains could make them look more like the incumbant party than the outsiders (which works for them historically). I almost would have rather had them the minority party until the general election then sweep the House and Presidency. I like gridlock so I always want the Senate and House controlled by different parties so in the end this is very good. I'm just afraid the timing could make it short lived.

As I said, I would be hard pressed to think of anyone I could drop in that poll that would make me chose GWB. Yes he was THAT bad.

Thankfully its not a decision we will ever have to make again.

Given everything Slobama has done since pulling the greatest scam I'm surprised you'd even consider it. For every "bad" thing you want to put at 43's feet...44 isn't changing it. STATUS QUO. No HOPE AND CHANGE. If anything he's destructing free enterprise and our nation's economy. You're entitled to believe what you want, and you of all people KNOW that there were people screaming about 43's spending here on this site but the current stooge we have here makes Bush/Cheney appear like some brain trust the world has never seen!

I just completely disagree. I agree in the fact Obama sucks too. But not nearly as bad as Bush.

Granted thats akin to saying would you rather lick the baby's **** diaper after feeding it chili cheese frys or banannas.

I voted for Bush and am a Republican. It's not that I always hated him or thought he would do bad. He just did and I call it like I see it. I had no preconcieved notion or dispostion to disagree with the man.

I do not beleive you can say the same about the Big O and yourself.

I remember sitting in a caucus meeting during the Dole, Lamaar, Buchanan, B1 Bob, Grahm, Keyes etc primary. I was representing Dole. Incidently my main argument for Dole (who I liked personally but was a weak candidate) was that he was going to win the nomination and we needed to get behind their campaign if we wanted to win the general election. Buchananan won our precenct, B1 Bob was second. It sort of reminds me of in here at times and I enjoyed it.

During that caucus when all was said and done I was talking to some of the national party folk who sort of knew they would not win the general and were talking about 4 years later. They brought up baby bush (they actually called him that) as a likely canditate to emerge. Their pros on him were he was raw (blank slate) and could be taught. Sounded good.

Looking back thats the problem. He was a shell that could be manipulated. And he was. I actually sort of think Bush is very similar to Palin. Not necessarily on specific politics but lack of depth or knowledge.

I still beleive our best days are ahead of us DESPITE the horrendous damage Bush did and Obama continues.
